We always work on the "better safe than sorry" theory here on the forum :)

The process of the whole application is very stressful, so I'm trying to be very careful just in case I miss out on anything. It's better to ask than not knowing what to do as well. I just hope everything will be worth it in the end. :) Thanks again!

I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end, it is stressful and you are doing right by being careful, once you've filled the forms in go over it a few times, I remember my wife making a mistake on one of the forms and I picked it up on the second time of reviewing the application.

At the end of the day it is not very difficult to make a mistake, none of us are perfect :)

    Good luck.

Very true! I'm glad I've found this site and forum, it has definitely helped me a lot with the whole process of the application. My wife and I have gone checked everything, and the papers are on their way to the Philippines, so hopefully be submitting those in a few days.

I shall stay positive and pray for the best. Thanks again @Timmers :)

The SU07 has never been a requirement for a spouse/fiancée visa, it is for other types of visa applications, I know that some people have submitted the form but it is not required.

Personally I would fill it in better to be safe than sorry it takes all of a minute.
Whilst I take your point @Timmers when I researched the requirement of this form I noted that there was a certain amount of confusion between UKBA and VSF global on if it should be filled in or not for a Spouse Visa.
Like I say I took the air of caution approach

I`ve decided to submit this form also cant hurt and better to be safe than sorry.. me and Marilou will take a break in Bohol after we submit our documents in Cebu so would hate to be contacted to say its required then have to return to Cebu ! like you mentioned its a simple enough form to complete !

It wont do any harm submitting it.

and that is where the confusion seems to lie my wife came over here as a dependant relative to me as my wife, yet the briefing notes allude to other relatives no mention of spouses and as I say when I did my research on this last year there were mixed comments on this form.I took as I have said in a previous post a safer option by submitting it.
I think @jock_in_a_frock has done a sensible thing

Hi guys! I need some help please.

My wife and I have submitted the application form online and have booked an appointment already. However, on the questions where it stated Spouse/Partner - Family details, Mother and Father, we accidentally put my wife's parent's information and not mine, as her spouse? There's no way of changing this now as it's already been done. Could I just write a cover letter stating the mistakes we've done and correct them on the application form? We've only just realised this now.

    Thanks!

i dont think youve gone wrong--we put my fiancees parents details on the online form--certainly not my parents.

    Thanks @bigmac for the reply!
Just thought I'd double check as I read somewhere that it's my parents and not my wife's parents.
    Thanks again!

Hi all - when completing the online application, is it better to 'Apply for myself' or 'Apply for someone else'?

In reality, it's me who's going to be filling it out on behalf of my wife

its your wife who is the applicant--even if you fill out the form--so she is "applying for myself "

I think the apply for someone else is for if mother is applying for a child, has i am doing with my stepson and the sponsor/partner part has me confused too, has ask's about spouse/partner then parents details has in passports, so who is this for.
