We've left a lot of the wifes jewellery back in the UK because of the risks of mugging / house getting broken into. Shame really as she has some really nice stuff.

She has a hand-made Gold wedding band made in Birmingham.
She also has a gold Claddagh ring made in Galway. She bargained for so long with the manufacturing jeweller that I left the shop. He gave a great price.
Following Methersgate's point Filipina are one place ahead of Irish women in the International table of "Equality".
The Filipina has achieved this honour while retaining , Dignity, respect, honour and femininity.

A Dr friend in Dublin said of the Irishwomen's placing "They have got there by being The World's best Witche's & Bitche's".
I cannot dissagree with that statement. IMO is applies to most EU wommenzzss...

Ok im a noob here ,ive only been on here a few days and havnt been googling what are filipinas like etc.

So my personal view could be way off and i dont know where some of my views even come from .


1= I have heard filipinas are passionate

2 = a kid curiosity in things ? i dont know where i get this idea from.

3= yes ive heard filis are hard working but its not my main reason to be attracted to them but it is in the back of my mind that they bring a liveliness to a family.

4= beauty

5 = they are more interested in the inner person ie are you a good kind hearted man .I find that attractive quality.

6 = sensible,maturity and a bundle of childish fun ( im not sure if im right on that and dont know why i have this preconceived idea from ).

I have a small ring finger, about 4.5 and 1 carat looks good and just right. ANything over 1.5 carats will look crazy! But yes, those people are filthy rich to be able to give 3 carats worth but hey, if they can afford it, good for them

That is a really good buy! I was helping my cousin find one and we were offered a flawless 0.75 carat stone and it was double the amount. Pawnshops don't really put value on the stones but more on the gold that it contains.

Re your wife's jewelry, if she ever wants to wear them here in the Philippines, she can just open a safety deposit box in a bank and keep it there. That is what I do with mine and take only a few pieces with me at home to rotate wearing.

Nice idea about the safety deposit box, the trouble is I know my wife wiould get lazy to use it and everything would eventually end up in the house and I'm not willing to risk it.
