Lol sorry I didn't mean to cause confusion there. Glad you are sorted now. The wording in Appendix 2 can be confusing but if you give it a thought it's actually simple questions that needs simple answers, but hey I'm still not happy to answer it meself but good to get it done with :like:

If I may add about the appendix 2. Be as straightforward when answering a question. Also, bear in mind that the supporting documents should match your answers in the form. For example: your annual salary should match what's in the p60, the sponsor's address should match to the utility bills provided, etc.

Good luck to you @JoshuaTree :)

Absolutely - a lot of the time once you've a bit of initial research in, often you're on the right path but with the official information being confusing or simply not present in some cases, getting that confirmation on here that you're right goes a very long way to helping. It is easier once you're into it, although finding out the true depth of the nitty gritty you should know feels daunting and in some areas never ending!

I hope your FLR goes smoothly and yes, I like starting to contribute a little advice here and pay it back in the manner that I've been helped by others, with yourself at the head of the list! :like:

Hehe wasn't your fault, just the way the comments ran on the page! Yes I agree on the questions, a lot are repeated in sections and it's just working out which section! I have to do it by this weekend...:p

Much appreciated @tipipay :) good advice and I'll do the comparing as I fill it out, now I've got most of the docs together. Ordered another statement today so I'll at least have something fairly recent, will need one again after my salary goes in.

One question: you mentioned P60 but I'm not planning to submit that - would be from last April and the address is incorrect too. Think that's OK?

We decided to submit the p60 because on his employment letter no annual salary was indicated (I think companies have different templates for this). The HR suggested the p60 instead so that's what we submitted.

Why is it incorrect? Did you move house? P60 is just a supporting document, it's up to you if you submit it just to support your details in appendix 2. You still have the payslips and employment letter though, so p60 is just an additional document. If you wish to (with an incorrect address as you've mentioned) submit, you can provide an explanation on part 5 of the form stating the reason/s. :)

Honestly, I haven't encountered this problem so far but the logical advice I can give is to state the reason/s why the address was incorrect (if it's not that complicated). If you move house, take note of your answers on the accommodation part and make sure the details match. :)

    Thanks @tipipay :)

Yes the tax office has an old address and hasn't updated it despite my attempts. The reason you included the P60 makes sense. I typed my own employment letter stating my gross annual salary for my manager to sign, so it sounds like I'm good just using that and pay slips - yay! Thanks for your explanation too :like:

Quick questions for you guys on the financial form Appendix 2:-

Question 2.4 Is you sponsor in receipt of Housing Beneft and/or Council Tax Beneft?
-- Does the 25% single-occupancy reduction count as a council tax benefit? As the guidance asks to state how much is received each month... :erm:

2.6 How many other rooms are there in the property (NOT including kitchens, bathrooms and toilets)?
-- Do I count the hall? And if the main room is a joint kitchen/living room, I can still count that as one room?

No don't count the council tax reduction (not a benefit as such).

Count your joint living room and kitchen as two separate rooms (it is one room divided into two), they are looking for the basics only, don't count the hall as it isn't regarded as a room.

As always, sincere thanks Timmers :)

Right so joint room as two, minus kitched equals one left, sorted. And I've filled out section 3A so then I've left the rest of section 3 and 4 blank. Think I'm done, phew.

All that the UKVI are looking for is a bedroom, kitchen and common (living room), you will have no problem, I think I'm correct in saying that you will be submitting a floor plan so no worries on that score :)

Correct, the floor plan I uploaded previously - feeling better about it now I've counted rooms, as silly as that sounds :D

You're nearly there :), its probably now the time to consider the timings of your bank statements and payslips to coincide with your application, remember that the financial documents can be no more than 28 days at the time of the online application.

Cheers Timmers. I find that you keep missing things, don't you? Filling out the Appendix 2, one question is after the date you first met in person, what date did your relationship start. I read this as when we first started talking but then thought it's when we became boyfriend/girlfriend, so had to change that date.
A more serious one is on what you highlighted - I've got statements from last May so just need the recent one, then recalled work made a mistake and paid me too little one month, which happens to be one of the payslips Jasmin has. It's still over the threshold if the ECO took that lower figure and multiplied, but wouldn't match the stated salary in the employment letter and would look odd. Thankfully it'll be older than the six months if we submit early Feb, so I can use August - January.

The mental gymnastics is tiring! Still need to write letter of support, have Jasmin write hers, contents list, various copying and order a final bank statement very, very promptly on the 24th as you mention :D then Jasmin will have to blend the documents together as she already has some of mine like birth certificate etc. I need another holiday.

Did you use DHL to send the documents? I find the site confusing, do you know which service it is?

DHL is the only way to go but remember to just include your documents no little presents or it may get held up in customs.

Takes three or four days to get to the Philippines.

You can track your DHL package by putting the number into their website. It's quite good fun!

I endorse Timmers' advice - put nothing at all apart from the documents in the package and make sure that the Customs declaration states "documents and papers of no commercial value ONLY"

Great advice from you both, thanks :) especially about putting only docs - I did read the thread here where the chap had put a phone as well, resulting in delays and 2 days of chasing to get delivery at 1pm the night before submission!
Looks like I'll be using Box 3 instead of Envelope 1 as it already weighs 0.8kg = £58. Wahey.

We all need one. Haha. The best reward for that, and definitely the most satisfying one, is when you see that shiny thing inserted on her passport, nothing can beat that feeling. You're almost there man. Best of luck :cat::like:
