Yet another late night random question ;)

Should we renew/update Jasmin's passport now with her married name?

Reading the very useful thread below got me thinking. Would mean the BRP would be right from the start, avoid cost and hassle later etc. I guess we'd just have to include the current passport as one of the old passports with the application to show the travel stamps and update the application passport details? We have about 3 weeks to go before submission. Good idea?

If she has time I would definitely update the passport to the married name, will save you some hassle here in the UK for sure.

Probably the best thing you can do. Update her passport here while you can. As stated it's much of a hassle to do it in the UK and much more costly :frust:

My own fault for changing my mind late in the day. Ah well, something to enjoy later on...:D

CFO Cebu conducts the seminar every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and only in the afternoon every 2-5 PM and only caters 12 person per session unlike Manila they conduct the seminar Mondays-Fridays with morning and afternoon session and caters 15 person. I just checked with Cebu and they have plenty of available slots. :like:

    Thanks Brom :)

No wonder I confused Jasmin - when I read this page again I see how it happened; when I wrote no appointments until March, I was referring to the place for renewing passports, not sure what it's called. But the last reply before I said that was @Dav3&Ai5a mentioning the CFO appointment... @Timmers helps with mentioning Cebu, Brom kindly checks for me, and I'm checking with Jasmin to go to Cebu and she's all "what the hell are you talking about? Cebu for my passport?!"

    :lol::D:oops::oops::blackeye::blackeye::D

Ah well. Glad I figured that out was puzzling me for days!

Work employment letter written and signed, guess I can't put Appendix 2 off any longer...

Printed my 'evidence of relationship' document, which is a blend of passport scans, travel stamps, photos over 3 years up to wedding/honeymoon... 45 pages, single-sided :erm: photos are generally 2 per page with captions.
I shouldn't have stapled it. Need to intersperse that document with printed e-tickets at the right date points :frust: there's a separate document I've called 'distance communication which is solely Facebook messenger screenshots, think that's 18 pages

The missus is going to need a wheelbarrow for her trip to the VFS office, probably a backpack too.

I can see you're nearly sorted :like:

Yes, she's in for a surprise! And some backache, probably.

Thanks Timmers, just need to do Appendix 2 and contents/organisation. There's a huge appendix of guidance on how to fill out Appendix 2  the form looks poor too, confusing on which sections to ignore and could be better written like "if X then go to section Y". If I'm struggling how are non-native speakers meant to manage...

The problem with the visa forms is that they are generic to cover all application eventualities. I think they are confusing to all, but we always get there in the end.

I am confident you will secure the visa, I can tell by the contents of your posts.

I think reassurance is a key part of this forum, for those of us that have completed the visa process we know exactly what you are going through.

For example you will have seen yourself the difference between when you first start researching the application process to where you are now, I'm sure you'd agree that the process does get easier once you get into it.

Then once you have the visa in hand you to can start to offer reassurance here on the forum to people starting out on their journey. My knowledge of the visa process is limited especially given that it was a long while back we applied for the visa, although the visa trail starts again for us in March as we apply for the second FLR(M).
