So nobody should sit back and take the moral high ground on the topic. But that doesnt stop them from doing it.

Personally, i think there should be variable speed limits.
    Certainly not permanent 20mph areas.

How about speed limits on pavements!
Cyclists have deserted roads to terrorize pedestrians...

It would be nice if we had more cycle routes like many other countries in Europe and get them off the footpath and the main road :D

Very true. One issue we have here on the promenade where cyclists travel at dangerous speeds amidst pedestrians.

I walk to work down a path next to field that is used by many cyclists, none of them seem to have come across the notion of a bell, 'dring dring' not a freaking chance, no you are quietly walking home on an empty path possibly about to change direction and you hear the freakin cyclist a split second before they pass at 20 mile an hour, absolutley terrifying.

Seriously not one has a bell or horn! Lethal!

Another thing, I cannot remember the last time I ever saw a cyclist make a hand signal :(

I am overweight now and would look stupid on a bike but once upon a time I was a skinny cyclist, I used to cycle from Paisley to Glasgow every day 8 miles each way, I always made hand signals, and I always stopped for traffic lights, I obeyed the rules of the road.

Yes very good point, I wonder how many of those cyclists are also car drivers as virtually none seem to have any road sense.

The only hand signals I have witnessed, lately, from cyclists are of the one or two fingered kind.

Gets me when you see them going through the traffic lights on red, the majority of cyclist are responsible but a minority are shockers.

Ask the police if it is ok to speed in the UK and see if any police officer says it is ok
