We talk of the Chocolate Hills and 100 Islands but what about back here in the UK? Never mind Blackpool or Bridlington...... From Colossal Caves to Captivating Causeways: Top 5 Natural Wonders in the UK http://www.tourismontheedge.com/bes...auseways-top-5-natural-wonders-in-the-uk.html
Obviously not John, viewing old castles and the Lakes will be on my itinerary when the loved one gets here.
Yep. As long as the weather is good. We did Warwick Castle last year. The mrs loved it. Great day out. Did Cadburys world the next day.
Warwick Castle is definitely on the agenda, I spent a little bit of time doing trade shows at Stoneleigh and used to take clients around the castle, great place, great cream teas too.
You have it all to come. Its been great taking the Mrs to see the sights in the UK. I want to visit the Giants Causeway this summer. It is just across the water from us here. I have never been to Norn Iron before either.
Touring around the UK with the loved one is something I'm looking forward to very very much . A feeling of well being comes over me when I think about it.
I thought of the Giant's Causeway, but the other thing that I thought of was Fingal's Cave, on Staffa, whichndidnt make the list.
Do you think I could slip over to Southern Ireland via Belfast?, there isn't any borders anymore is there, none to speak of that is.
Don't see why not? Just take the car on the ferry? But there's quite a lot, including the Causeway, in Northern Ireland.
I am just concerned about any visa restrictions the loved one may have, Southern Ireland is obviously in Europe and theoretically then she will need a visa, wouldn't she?
Isn't the Irish Republic within the UK Common Travel Area? If so, I don't think a Filipino would need a separate Visa if going there from the UK.
I believe they do in theory. But I heard that Schengen Visas for the Irish Republic are very easy to get hold of. So I have heard. But that must be wrong as here is a list of Schengen countries.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schengen_Area
Later....apparently a visa is required. But apparently they are easy to get hold of. But not a Schengen visa. Not entirely sure Timmers. Might be wrong.
I was watching a BBC program on Norn Irons coast. Seems it is very attractive. They were saying that there were few visitors during the troubles but that has changed completely now. "A coastline blessed with beauty but blighted by conflict"
Interesting. I've been keeping in touch with Brock, who's currently in Poland with his wife, and he tells me that they're planning to enter the UK via Eire. He mentioned that he's in touch with guys in a similar situation who are also using Eire as a staging point but I'm not sure how that will work.
