My feeling about all of this is that worrying about the future robs us of good thoughts in the present and the future never comes anyway.

Mike I just feel numb about all of this now, if the end comes well it comes, we wont' be conversing about it as the EMPs will have destroyed all communication networks.

The future arrives all the the time that is our experience of reality, the future is fundamentally change, change of state, be it the next key we hit on a keyboard or the next thought in our heads or the next word we say, change is inevitable, time is the one fundamental unexplained feature of the universe that is really hard to explain, for example light never experiences time, for photons time does not exist, for anything that travels at lightspeed time does not exist, photons do not experience change not ever.

They do experience the same thing we experience which is existence and non existence, before you became aware is exactly the same as when you are dead, the bit in between is life and we have to make the best of it, we are lucky, the poor people in Ukraine are not so lucky some bastard is trying to kill them and is making right now into hell.

We are all getting old, our future is through our children, we can only hope there is a future, we can all die by climate disaster or by a monster's ego disaster like Putin but one way or another we have to come to terms with our future, why are we at the mercy of one man's ego?

And if Trump had gotten a second term he would probably have taken the USA out of NATO if he runs in 2024 and wins NATO is probably finished, Trump another one man ego trip as a leader.

Agreed and that is why throughout Covid and throughout the current world crisis, I have and will continue to live my life for today, I hold my thoughts and the moments of today and yesterday as always good as I have been lucky enough to hold them and to of had them.

With weapons like this being used by the Russians, why are the Ukranians still fighting?

Because they don't want to be ruled by the kind of people who would use a weapon like that.

Yeah I know, not justifying it but they were not using them in civilian cities, as far as I know they were using them in the mountains against combatants.

Oh well yeah 2017 Trump, another monster, and who would want to be ruled over by that wannabe dictator, at least the Americans got rid of him for a few years.
