Those shenanigans were a long time ago, my path is straight and narrow nowadays The mask was because it was cold, and there's loads of cameras(CCTV) on the embassy roof, I will maybe find myself back in Russia so better safe than sorry, I don't fancy the inside of a gulag

It's associated with far right groups and Jihadists and child pornographers, and it's security model is not very good, however it is used very heavily in Ukraine and Russia and so might be one of the few ways that Russians can get outside news now. I mean all of these platforms including Facebook are dodgy information sources you get propaganda on all these platforms.
Not BC, its not that cold there, could be alaska or the east coast, or Alberta, anywhere really as everywhere this side is still frozen, this is the street 2 days ago.The cold is actually quite easy to live with.

We could all do with less of Telegram, this, CatchFriday (I haven't been on that platform but I trust oss's opinion.
I'm not even on Twitter Mike, my feelings towards Telegram are not from any experience of it, it's just a gut feeling from what I've read. WhatsApp is a similar service I have to use it for some international tech support of our customers, all of these things are subject to abuse, however in this case given that the Telegram service has some encryption it might actually be an effective tool for the Ukrainians at this time. People the world over have been brainwashed into believing that their traditional news sources are lying to them and yes some of them might be one sided sometimes but providing alternative realities through these 'alternative' news media and communication channels is not the answer, because imagining that the alternative sources have no agenda or bias or vested interest is just naive. Technology and the internet has debased our trust in news, made propaganda extremely easy to spread, endangered so many people and removed rather than strengthened trust, a free press consisting of media giants like Fox news is not free but just because some news source is available on a free platform (free from cost) does not make that a free news medium either and does not make that source true honest or accurate simply by virtue of being on a free platform, we all have to look at all news sources very critically these days.
