    Thanks,

    We have mortgage statements
Land registry document details include property was purchased 10 years ago
Council tax and details showing discounts as only one person lives in the property
Utility bills for gas and water

Do we need to add a survey report from a solicitor ?

Seems you got it covered. You don't need a property inspection report if no else is living in the house aside from you and your partner.

Its wise to put in photos of the house each room and we put in a garden photo, we also put in a floorplan, remember its a lot of money your spending on the application etc so invest a little more time is wise cover everything.

I agree with matt. We did the same thing, my wife took a picture of the house like rooms, kitchen etc. and I printed them out. If it's not a hassle to get the property inspection report I suggest to submit it too. Is an additional point..☺

Thanks everyone!! I've rescheduled my vfs appointment to Tuesday afternoon instead of tomorrow.

The cenomar I received has some errors in my mothers name and I didn't want to risk using a certificate with errors. So it'll be a 3 day wait for a corrected document, better safe than sorry.
It also gives the future hubs the weekend to take photos of the house that we can include with our accommodation details.

Errors on official Philippine documents are common place, many people here on the forum have had the same kind of problem.

As stated, many people have had this problem, therefore they have to then go to the trouble of getting the documents amended.

There is obviously not a sufficient checking process in place.

    Hi folks

My fiance Kris and I have been gathering all the material ahead of her submitting her (and son's) settlement visa application.

Couple of hopefully easy to answer questions.

    1) Kris's son R turns 14 in a few days time and of course will need to have a separate visa application submitted simultaneously as Kris's. (In truth - like last year's visitor visa - I will complete the applications online from UK using Kris's account.)

    2) In terms of logistics I'm thinking I will need to submit both K & R's applications at the same time. I recall last year that I had to pay the fee then head to VFS site to book an interview slot. I was previously advised here that Kris will need to book two simultaneous VFS interviews for her and R but I'm uncertain of the practicalities of doing this.

    3) I'm aware we can book appointments direct through the VFS site independent of the UKVI application portal but will that interfere with the application process as I won't need to leave the portal to book the interviews?

    4) As some of the documents supporting K & R's are the same can Kris just provide 1 copy or is it necessary for both applications to be supported by a full and complete suite of papers?

    5) I live in a 3 bed semi. It has a few years mortgage to run (a legacy of a necessary remortgage to buy out my ex 17 years ago - grr!) and I've obtained from Registers of Scotland the extract from the land registry showing me as owner - with accompanying boundary map with my property highlighted. I've also obtained a statement from my lender.

I know that I will have to provide a floorplan and / or property schedule. I can easily produce a plan using online software but can someone please confirm that additional pictures of each room is necessary and sufficient?

    Thanks everyone!

You can book for Kris and her son simultaneously as you said like Kris will have an appointment at Monday 9:00 AM then you can book the next time possible for her son like 9:05 AM so that it will be done same day and they'll go together.

With regards to documents since they will apply separately both of them will have an online application form printed, separate Appendix 2, two payments of course but the financial and accommodation documents can be shared.

Others suggest to provide pictures of your house but I feel this is not necessary as long as no one else is living in the house then you should be fine. But it depends on your preference, you can send pictures and you can choose not to. I did not send pictures and I got no problem with it.

Just remember when you're filling it yourself it will be on your fiancés perspective. Answer it like she is the one answering, same with her son if you are filling it too. You might be carried away and answer it as if it's all about you :like:

The key factor in showing photos of the property is to demonstrate there is enough rooms in particular bedrooms for those who are going to occupy. A couple in a one bedroom property is fine but a couple with a child in one bedroom may raise eyebrows. Yes the child maybe a baby and would share the same room but they will look at what is appropriate for the applicants

I see the point of having a picture. In our case since we are in a 5 bedroom house and only two of us lives in the property we don't see the point of sending pictures Im sure the ECO is convinced I'll be accommodated

So it depends on individual circumstance really. If you feel @Scotschap16 that you need to show some picture then send them as it's not hard to take pictures anyway. For peace of mind too you can submit pictures. :)

Thanks @Brom27 - very helpful. I completed / submitted Kris's visa application - in tandem with her of course - and we both double checked for accuracy before I hit the "send" button.

Are you or another member able to advise on whether it would - taking our circumstances into account - be better to book the VFS appointments from within both K & R's online applications or to book independently via the VFS site?

As regards pictures of my home I think I'll supply images of the 3 bedrooms and possibly the lounge & dining room downstairs. I provided pictures of the exterior for the visitor visa and will use these again.

Finally (until I remember something else!) - can someone please confirm when we will be due to pay the NHS surcharge for Kris and her son. I've doubtless missed some key bit in the guidance but I have seen it suggested the £500 fee (x2) falls to be paid as part of the application process but I seem to recall someone saying here it will not be due until and after Kris and her boyfriend arrives.

    Many thanks.

I actually have no idea you can book it separately on the VFS site itself I thought when you submit the online application you are then directed to book your appointment. So maybe others will suggest you better on that.

You don't have to pay for the IHS yet if you are applying for a fiance visa since it's only a 6 months visa. She will pay for it once she applies for FLR(m) from within the UK after your marriage. :)

when the vaf4 application is completed--it will state whether the IHS fee is then to be paid. not in the case of a fiancee visa--less than 6 months---but i dont know about the childs visa--if this is for 6 months also--to coincide with the mothers visa.

That pleasant chap @Methersgate should be able to clear that up regarding the child, I think you pay for the child at the same time as you pay for the Fiancee/Spouse.

i'm not sure how long a child dependant visa is granted for in the case of a fiancee visa. i cant imagine a child being given 30 months when the mother only gets 6. but then the child would be liable for 2 x FLR fees as well--which is what i think @Methersgate had to do.

I'm sure Andrew will clarify, I'm pretty sure the child's applications and visa terms go hand in hand.
