Isn't it interesting that in the French Election that the leading contender Macron has a wife who is 25 years older than him! So it's not just men who go after younger women, but it's women who go after younger men! He fell in love with his teacher at 15, and he married her at 17! She was 39 years old at that time. She is now 65 and he is 40 and they kissed - this means in fact that Filipinas as old as 88 can have European and American husbands aged 63 and less!

It's not something I even think about now, to be honest.

Other people may have a problem with our age difference... but their problem, not mine.

How does it affect them anyway ?

    No laws broken.

Actually when i had just joined here a lady aged 60 plus wanted to be in contact with me - I felt a bit awkward so I posted this discussion. So many of the dating sites find older men with younger women, that I felt what was needed was to suggest older women with younger men ie toy boys......

This was the philosophy behind this thread.

Whatever floats your boat, as they say. :)

Big difference is the ability to create a family... or otherwise.

I really do not see a problem.

Or in the Philippines - "Has she got a sister?"

I wonder whether Monsieur Macron regrets his decision? When you're 15, I can see the attraction in having a fling with your hot, cougar teacher in school. Luckily, his wife seems to have aged quite well, though who knows what's hiding underneath that skyblue coat? I don't think anyone would be surprised if a French politician has had more affairs than I've had Cadbury's Creme Egg this year.

A similar, but not quite as extreme an example, is King of the Scots, Alec Salmond who, aged 27, married his 44 year old wife. Now he's 62 and his wife near 80. That can't be much fun. They must truly be soulmates.

The point is chaps that I've found a hole in the dating system, and a new clientele...... sell younger men to older women!

I think I have remarked earlier on this thread that I have a Filipina friend of fifty who is dating a (Filipino) man of 22, and I have another Filipina friend of 40 with a boyfriend of 32. One thing about both these women is that they are sucessful career women and they may prefer having a man around on their own terms, but I think many Filipinas like to "mother" someone and if they don't have a son of their own to spoil they will find a substitute.

Not so many older women will marry younger man. :blackeye:They just normally use them as toy boy! :greedy: Those are called cougar! Unlike older man, they want to keep their younger woman to keep them feel young so they marry them.
I don’t understand woman who will go for you any younger man when they have a son it would be awkward and embarrassing! It’s totally different with man. For me, I will never ever go for any man younger than me! :D

It's not that simple really, I would never dream of having a relationship with a girl younger or close to the age of my youngest daughter, imagine 10 years have passed from now and I am now 73 and my daughter is now 24 will I get involved with a 30 year old girl, no way, too damn close to my daughter's age.

It's not really different for a man.

She, at the age of 40, met the 15-year-old Emmanuel Macron in La Providence High School in the year 1993, where she was a teacher and he was a student and a classmate of her daughter Laurence. She divorced Auzière in January 2006 and married Macron in October 2007.

The thing is, an older man can still have children even at their 70’s or more but woman older than 50 cannot give any more babies if she ever marry a younger man. So it is not really fair as the younger man cannot have his own children anymore with older woman.
Older woman only wants nooky from younger man, so I think they don’t really need to get married!

The age of the oldest woman to give birth (in the world) is 74, in the UK the oldest woman in the UK to give birth was 66 in May 2009, but you are right the vast majority of women will be infertile by 50.

On the fairness side that's a different discussion, to my mind that is up to the individuals involved and their aspirations in life, does the younger guy want kids does the older lady want kids, that is something for them to work out together, I just have a personal view that I myself would not get involved with a girl close to the age of my own daughter, if I had no children then it would be another matter I would not feel the same constraint but with young children I do feel that constraint.

Seriously? 66 and 74? My fertility stopped at 47!:lol::lol: For me, I really don’t mind seeing older man with younger woman, but to see older woman with younger man? Not that I judge them and if they are happy? Good for them! But it’s just don’t look right to me.
But as you said, this is just an opinion and this is my opinion! ;)
