If all cars used it it would so I've read be like taking 350000 cars off the road per annum, not a little amount by any stretch.
Existing Petrol is E5 so 5% bioethanol, so E10 is giving you a 5% additional cut. I'm not saying it is unwelcome but the problem is that it gives the impression that we are doing something about C02 when that something is actual pretty tiny in the grand scheme of things. E10 won't save the planet but some people who don't like or want change will want to see this change as if it will.
ive got my house on the market. A viewing by a couple from London was cancelled for last friday as they couldnt find anywhere with petrol .
I know JohnAsh made the original post, Where are these £78K driving jobs JA? He has disappeared again...... It is easy to write it but not so easy to find it! Don't get too excited Mystica
Good for you, Mystica. If you have a car drivers licence, you to will have to do tests at 7.5 tonnes, 18 tonnes then 44 tonnes. If you pass the 7.5 tonne rigid test you will have a better idea if driving is still a career option for you. If you progress to 18 tonne rigid, carry on for the 44 tonnes artic. It is expensive but it can be done. Personally, I think the 44 tonne artic is an easier life than the rigids, as companies tend to run the drivers of smaller vehicles ragged. That is, there are so many drops and collections on the smaller vehicles. You can catch your breath with artics whilst they unload the trailer on bays at distribution centres.
https://www.gov.uk/driving-licence-categories Can't let you loose with an artic yet, Jim Once when I was driving artics for Argos, I got a phone call from their transport dept. asking me if the other artic was there. If it was get the keys from him. He had gone. There were Eastern European drivers who all had the same licence number but with different photos. Somebody must have been reprimanded when it was discovered. I knew another company where that happened. The thing is.....the drivers had been out on the road driving for a while. Madness.
I have various driving license from Middle East for a car and an international driving license. Was driving for 2 decades but then when I came here, I didn’t bother to do the license because there are lots of busses in London easy access. But when I moved here in Leeds, bus stops are quite far to walk! So I am working on my license now!
My wife has recently bought some books to help her pass her driving test, which she will take next year. She is reading them so much. She has never been behind the wheel yet so you are well ahead of her.
This is the best to practice with theory. https://www.safedrivingforlife.info/my-learning/car-drivers/mock-test/ Bear in mind, tell her to read the actual test thoroughly with theory, hazard and practical test because it has been rephrased differently to what we practice.
my wife got a provisional licence 3 years ago--and i put her on my insurance--and the premium came DOWN £30 ! She STILL hasnt even sat in the drivers seat yet !
she has been far too busy at work this year--60 hour week is usual. But we are planning to move to the mainland in the new year--so she will have to learn then.
Wow, she really is a hard worker. When she passes (and my wife) she will be far more independent and can look further afield for work. Where do you hope to relocate to?
