So funny, I used to drive Cemex cement tankers like the one in the article, Rob, I bet one of theirs has been followed too.
If this petrol shortage continues I wonder if Chris Rea will be walking home this Christmas https://www.google.com/search?gs_ss...10l2j46i10.18611j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
The last time I bought petrol was the 12th of August I still had about eight days worth left last night but thought I should get some more I was pretty much down to where I would normally refill, went down to the petrol station at 9:30pm and was allowed to get £30 worth so I'm back up to half a tank which will do me till the start of November roughly. My first E10 fuel
You have to wonder was it a Fuel suppliers ploy to get storage capacity for the new E10, BP exec leaks a memo shortage of drivers to get fuel to forecourts, panic buy empty tanks natural room then for E10, diesel fuel was a fall out!
2litre Honda Accord engine I think it is the F20B6 version, car is an automatic transmission. This thing, not as nice as my old Hondas but it only cost £400 five years ago in June 2016, I don't do a lot of miles
Fuel situation where I live in Buckinghamshire is a joke. Tried several places all dry and skipped one more with huge queues. Wound up having to drive to Oxford services on the m40 where they were out of petrol but fortunately had diesel which I need at extortionate prices - 150 quid a tank. Things are shaping up to be another amazing fun year.
love Hondas, but are too low hung for some roads over here. I have an old Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 auto. Great for wading the floods and off road mountain terrain which I have done.
Whilst it's ok to mix it does nothing for the promotion of an industries quick fix leadership in co2 emissions everyone wants to be seen as the leader
Erm, this will make almost no difference in terms of C02 emissions, so its a bioethanol mix hence renewable even at 10% that's a trivial amount of extra reduction albeit that every little helps.
My point was that there could not be a problem topping up the storage tanks with E10 as a one time deal so forecourts would not have to think or worry too much about the tanks being empty before they got refilled.
Drove to Leicester on Friday afternoon. From the B&B I was staying I drove to Melton Mowbray , for the Food Festival. and back for 2 days over the week end. This morning, after dropping my wife off at her work, I went to my local Tesco to top the tank up. Every pump open for business, no shortage of anything. Only on the motorway, on the way back home, I noticed a couple of signs saying "no fuel".. I reckon someone is creating panic on purpose. To what end, I am not sure. Maybe foment discontent and make trouble for the Government?
News reports are stating that the problem is largely fixed in the north, it's the south east where the problem still remains.
