The refund page is not allowingme to request for a refund? Do I need to wait for few days before I can request a refund? I paid for it last night 21st December
Yes, I did use a credit card. So is it okay if I didnt receive any email confirmation from them when I requested for refund?
Are you sure they are the wrong details as on some part of the spouse visa they do ask for your details too, sorry i just read again and see what you mean now, ignore what i said sorry.
Yes on the Part 3 of the application asking about spouse details he mistakenly put his own details instead of his wife thinking that the Part 6 sponsor details is already intented for the wife but actually both are for his wife so he wants to do the application again.
this one is really confusing. Question 52 says IF YOU and question 53 says IF THEY. Is this section for me or for my wife?
Hi @arnold&nayely, questions 52 and 53 are really confusing . 52. Is your wife's surname/married name and 53. is her first name.. ....
Thank you PatVen. That clears the air. So mainly the part 3 of the online application under Spouse/Partner is for my wife's details then.☺
Hi KatKat. I already requested a refund and it says refund successful. I didn't get confirmation email like you though. Did you get a reply from them? Please guide me on how to create a new application. For what I can see on the old application under View Application the categories "Application Completed, Declaration Signed and IHS Payment Completed" as I paid for IHS too and they are still in green button and the checked sign are still there. Does that mean that my old application is still active? Did you get the same result after cancelling your application and requested a refund? How did you create a new application? Thank you
This is what I mean KatKat. Shall i just click apply for my self button on top left to create a new application or just wait until those green buttons disappeared?
You're welcome. It took me ages to finish my online application form. I created my account on VFS website in mid December 2015 and I only hit the submit button in mid March 2016 after completing all the supporting evidence and verifying the information I need. I'm too OC in filling in the online form. That time I was really confused and concerned (as a first time applicant) on some questions like those in part 3.
hi. it looks like your first application is already cancelled since you can no longer click the buttons. i think you can now apply for a new one and just wait for the refund. and by the way, i didn't receive any email confirmation too regarding my refund so i guess we'll just have to wait for it to be reflected on our bank statements. here's a screenshot of my first application that i cancelled.
Did you just then hit the apply for myself button to create a new application? And when you view your application there are 2 application on the page. 1 for the old one and the other one for new. Is that correct?
I was just wondering if there is an assurances that our first application is already been cancelled since there is no confirmation email and the green buttons are still on. That actually worries me a bit. I just dont want the ECO to think why do we have 2 applications showing in their records and confuse them on which one to assess.
The status of our initial application says incomplete and the green buttons on the right that you're referring to are already greyed-out, meaning you can't click on them anymore so this confirms that they're already cancelled. They're just there so you can track/view all the applications that you have done. Relax and just focus on your next application.
