I saw an interview the other day, he was asked about the cash, he skated over the question but said they lived a "comfortable" life as children, and his mum said they should always be thankful to the people as everything was from them
I was sent some footage overnight by a policeman friend, few of guys in a barangay vehicle, all dead, multiple gunshot wounds, ambushed near a voting station. I was out with a lot of Canadians last night, all with filipino connections, a few were dual nationals, the Duals had voted for BBM.
A quote from my favourite sci-fi author, one which imprinted on my mind some 40 odd years ago, Heinlein was extremely right wing, I'm not right wing but he was extremely clever and his stories were particularly good.
This image has been shared over FB. Not enough to go viral, but it's a sign of the drip-drip approach. A lot of people know it's clearly fake, but I think we all know there are many naive people in the Philippines on social media who would believe it. Short of closing FB down, it's a tough journey ahead to stop clearly made-up propaganda being shared as fact.
That’s exactly what I concluded. My wife’s sisters posted it to her and asked her opinion and then my wife asked my opinion. Firstly I doubt if the Queen would say anything like that and secondly the grammar gives it away a bit. My wife’s family tended to vote for Marcos and Du Terte. And also Jonvic Remulla for Governor in Cavite. Which is no surprise as they all work for the Remulla’s. Looks like he won by a landslide too.
If you were Filipino you might though. They are not all conversant with Her Majesty and her ways, like you and I and why would they be….. I am sure some of your relatives in the Philippines are not quite as astute on matters of the Queen of England either….
But.................... If any were gullible enough to believe it then they can join the dropped on the head club
My Mother in Law and Sister in Law each received 1,000 php to vote for the Guvnor, so much for Democracy.. while I received bugger all for being 1 of the 21% that voted in the local elections, maybe its time to grease our palms to help pay the leccy bills .
