There presently seems to be a conflict between government covid-19 restrictions and UK visa renewals.

You are advised not to make unnecessary journeys and the UKVCAS site only stating non-attendance to appointment being having symptoms.

I would suggest anyone requiring to attend a UKVCAS appointment and feel that it conflicts with present covid restrictions should contact the Coronavirus Immigration Help centre.

The UKVCAS site is still working to enable uploading of documents and may be enable to book an appointment, but at present the appointments will be postponed. The visa renewal process is still to be used to avoid accidently becoming an overstayer when the UKVCAS offices reopen.

Don't forget while your wife is waiting a decision her visa status remains that of which she entered the country

HI Guys, I was meant to be married on the 28th of March in the Philippines. I cant tell you how gutted i am that we are having to wait again! Can someone tell me if its worth trying for the LTR before we are married? Im ok with the finance side at the moment, but it may get a bit tricky after all this blown over. That side of things i would be better submitting the application now. Ive done most of it but was waiting to to have things like the marriage cert. We have things like the invitations and we have done the marriage licence as proff. Any advice would be appreciated. We will still get married in the Phillopines, but would be nice to bring her home with me after. Thanks.

As you are probably aware all the biometric offices are at present closed due to lock down and you need to do the biometrics as part of the application process, has your good lady done the English test and had her TB screening?
After you are married you are going to have a period of separation this is un avoidable on a spouse visa you will have to wait for the marriage certificate and then apply expect the decision to take 8 to 12 weeks, depending on how quickly everything gets back to normal.
The marriage licence and invitations will not tack up as proof!
Regrettably you are going to have to play the waiting game

I thought that might be the case. I have sent a email to the email above email. I will let you guys know what they say. You never know, unless you ask.

we had the eilts booked and of course that is now shut down. Im sure she has no chance of getting the TB test.
