So I've looked at the fiancee visa application forms  They are very complicated and my financial situation is particularly complex. I don't feel at all confident in putting together a watertight application myself. Does anyone know of a genuine decent agency that can help me with it all please?

Marriagevisahelp.com are good. I used them successfully.

    Avoid Capital visas!

Thank you. I'll have a look. I'm wondering about a solicitor who deals with immigration law as a possibility too?

Visalogic were okay. We used them. My wifes friend used them too, for her Fiancee Visa and the following FLR. And also for a Visit Visa for the wifes friends mother.

Pick a UK agency as they are familiar with UK law which is important.

May I ask about the complexities?

We could do with having a sticky thread titled "Do not use these agencies at all costs" in the Immigration Help forum then we could just add to the list as people here advise of bad dealings and the like with visa agencies.

I would say a good agency is better than a solicitor. As long as you get a good one they will know exactly what you need for the application and specialise only in that.

Will cost you about 750quid, but if' like I did, you have no idea where to start then it's worth your while.

Marriagevisahelp, who we used second time after being unsuccesful first time, did the appliction and booked the appointment too.

They also do a service for less money where they just check your documents but don't fill out the forms.

I recommend them. They also operate no visa no fee. No harm in giving them a call.

Yep. Make sure you get a good one.

As Graham says, they deal with visas all day everyday. Its what they do, so they know it all inside out and back to front.

I agree, she can then at least discuss her complicated finances with them and ask them if its worth applying.

We want to get it right and I don't like the look of the forms at all. I didn't even read them thoroughly and there were questions I didn't understand! Just a case of finding an agency that's decent though, so I need to go on recommendations. I'll look at the ones mentioned - thanks for those - and I also found http://www.jpsimmigration.com/ who do a fixed fee service - £650 for fiancee and £250 for visit. Money well spent if I don't have to work out those horrible forms all by myself

Don't let the forms put you off, start by filling in all the easy straight forward stuff first as I did, then your confidence will grow a little from there. just throw out a question on here and one of the girls or boys will answer. don't forget that there are many people here at BF who have filled out exactly the same forms, yes they are a pain, but its doable.

I just don't think I'd feel confident doing it myself. I'd rather have the backup of any agency I think. I just looked up marriagevisahelp and they have a 100% success rate which is why they do no visa no fee. I guess they only take the case on if they're sure of a positive outcome. Has anyone else here used them I wonder?

There are lots of lawyers and agencies who do it. Does anyone else have any experience of any please? I want to make sure we go with a good one.

Just a suggestion, if I was in your position and looking for a visa agency I would first listen to peoples experiences here and maybe other similar sites secondly I would try to research on the internet if the agency you are thinking of choosing is any good, if the agency has a bad reputation I suspect you will find dissatisfied customers complaining about them on the net, especially British agencies.

I looked at one or two agencies last night including Visa logic which JohnAsh went with and the one you were thinking of choosing. As you will have seen yourself, good well presented sites, very informative, but at the end of the day how do you choose?

Go for Visa Logic, I trust JohnAsh, if he says its a good agency to deal with then I'm personally confident that it is, your choice of course :)

Just wanna share what I did with the forms. Well, I printed it out, have it photocopied and answered each question using a pencil. When I came across with a difficult question, we (the loved one) discussed about it and tried to go through the questions again. There are actually guides in every question on the last page. Or as Timmers said, post your questions here and it shall be answered.;)

Yes there is a guidance form to help you fill in the forms but even so it can be quite confusing and messy as you know. I nearly made the mistake of rushing, I started to lose patience when I couldn't get hold of the right documents, I had to really sit back and take stock of things. It needs the two parties involved to really help each other out and to be patient and above all to be as pedantic as the case officers when filling the forms out and collating the required information to satisfy the requirements of the visa.

If Lisa does decide to use an agency then I hope she can tell us all here about her experience may it be good or bad.
