That claim is bullsh*t, I realise you are not making the claim you are just quoting but there is nothing particularly special or different about this thing it's a MIRV and it's long range, nothing new, it can carry about 15 light warheads, i.e. 15 warheads that are each probably ten or twenty times more destructive than the Hiroshima bomb, again nothing new both sides have had MIRVs for decades.

Now we really know why the Russians built GLONASS, they wanted their own GPS targeting systems, 15 warheads 15 cities, UK still exists but it's not the UK anymore half of us are dead and a large part of the rest are dying but Moscow also no longer exists, St Petersburg no longer exists, that's me run out of major Russian cities but no doubt a large number of other Russian cities and military targets are taken out by Trident.

Will it happen, yeah it probably will, this is end of days I think, I am prone to having an extremely negative outlook that s true, but when this war started, I had a gut feeling that Putin might be suicidal, I think on this thread I described him as a solipsist, his motivations are internal and have nothing to do with the security or welfare of anyone else including the entire country of Russia, to him he is Russia and again at the beginning of this I had a feeling that he might be facing his own final days and that article mentions possible health problems.

This is a megalomaniac who is probably willing to burn the entire world just because he is not going to be part of it in few years, this is the kind of guy whose solution to a marital breakup is to go out and shoot his ex wife and then his children and then himself, this is not a rational actor and no one can deal with him, the best hope is that rational Russians depose him and I think they are all too scared to do that.

edit: to be accurate I'm actually wrong no one uses GPS to steer ICBMs they use inertial navigation using ring laser gyroscopes, but GPS might be used for other tactical purposes, like steering drones and the likes and maybe part of the flight path of cruise missiles.
