    Very tasty BBQ.
That's very popular in Japan also. :like:
There are just hundreds of places serving 'Yakitori' from small street vendors right up to large very busy 'eateries' for the salaryman.
Yakitori is traditionally grilled chicken on bamboo skewers.
Mostly these days it will also include beef, pork, seafoods and vegetables.
It can be anything from meat, green onion, lotus root, liver, hearts, gizzards, skin, intestines and cartlidge. Always cooked over charcoal.
Great with sake (rice wine) or beer. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Always my favourite and one of the foods I really miss.

These bright red Japanese chochin, or lanterns, can be seen displayed outside yakitori street stalls and restaurants throughout the whole of Japan:-

Watching your yakitori being prepared and cooked over a living fire whilst enjoying a cold beer is a wonderful way to relax:-

I can almost smell the cooking.

These pics are sure to get your juices flowing:-

Thank you for the photographic reminder Balot (my good friend 'M' he he)

I have actually eaten that ! ONE time.
Although in reality I was deceived into eating it by my sister-in-law who told me it was a hard boiled egg.

I recall the taste was not bad. The texture was interesting, but nothing was horrible.
Well, except the image of seeing what was inside the next morning.

I've eaten some very strange stuff in my time and I'm still here to tell the tales.
If you promise to keep me in beer for the evening I will (well, I may) agree to eating a half dozen Balut.
