for info if your good lady gets a tug from immigration and doesnt arrive through the doors straight away with all the other passengers, there are internal phones direct to the UKBA desk that you can use to get an update. They are on the columns in the arrivals hall with instructions on what number to dial

Hopefully won't be the case as Abu Dhabi is a pretty clued up airport, but just be prepared for delayed bags. Even though the airline has had plenty of notice to re-arrange things, it's circumstances like this which cause a lot of delayed bags.
