Your GF will get only the usual check passport and plane ticket as she boards the flights.
As i said earlier rlax enjoy the build up to arrival, enjoy the moment she walks through arrivals.

As many have commented, she will be fine, don't worry. I do wonder though, why you chose such a roundabout routing. Is it all with the same carrier? Probably not. Easiest way to check if you're still worried, is with the airline.

It’s weird because on the way back she dosent go through Dublin just Heathrow Abu Dhabi and then the Phils that’s just how they had it and I checked with my immigration lawyer and he says it should be ok too

The talk about staying airside etc in Dublin is all fine, except that the girl *will* have to clear some formalities in Dublin. The sticking point is how ROI view settlement and marriage visas.

When she arrives in Heathrow, it is a domestic flight. That is a matter of fact. There will be no passport control upon arrival at Heathrow due to the UK/ROI Common Travel Area. It is not the same as a standard TWOV that you would have in Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Singapore when you arrive at Heathrow and find yourself in standard international arrivals.

I didn't see much in that Flyertalk link that said visitors do not need to pass immigration before onwards travel to the UK.

Honestly, it doesn't bother one bit if my caution here is wrong and I'm other members say they were right all along. However, I would take the time to register on Flyertalk and your 2 cents worth to that thread. There are some people there who really know their stuff far more than the motley collection of rogues in this forum.

Ah, she I read she is on a visitor visa? That may well make everything OK. Doesn't change that she will unavoidably have formalities in Dublin to deal with.

Your girlfriend will arrive at Terminal 1 and when she disembarks, she should follow the signs labelled "Flight Connections". She will need to produce her Passport and Boarding Card (for the Dublin-London sector) - she does not need a visa provided she remains within the airport terminals.

If she hasn't issued with a Boarding Card for the London flight, she will need to ask a member of Aer Lingus 's staff for this at "Flight Connections". All Aer Lingus flights depart from Terminal 2 which is about a 5 or 6 minute walk away.

    This video explains the procedure:

    A video about US Pre-clearance?

I still say that you are better served by registering on Flyertalk and getting an opinion from a different group of people.

Dublin is the only airport in Europe where US Pre-clearance is available so I guess the airport authority wants to crow about it. The first part of the video does talk about the "Flight Connections" service that's also available.

As for "opinions", facts are usually a safer bet and had our soldier-friend not been in headless chicken mode, I'm quite sure he would have discovered the information himself! :)

I have to ask, though: who on earth came up with this most unlikely of possible routings from Manila? Just checking the Abu Dhabi to London bit, Skyscanner provides over 300 possibilities and a flight via Dublin is well down the list at around 270 or so and is more expensive than Etihad direct to Heathrow.
