We didn't write anything on any photos or alongside just 8 pictures on 2 a4 paper different faces different places one even visiting her dad in hospital.
Communication was a summary of e mails dates and times

I take it you have lots of photographic evidence of you both together over the years?

By all means include messenger evidence but I don't think many officers are that interested with your dearest asking you daily what you have eaten today offer the past few years.

A good selection of pictures of you both together in different places speaks louder than words in these situations.

nope--but you do need 6 months mimimum left on the tenancy at the time of the visa application--OR a letter confirming the landlord will renew your contract.

    so--if you signed a 12 month agreement--thats fine.

you will also need a letter from the landlord stating your g/f..fiancee or spouse can also live there.

Email your local register office ask for preliminary date or just tell them when you would like to get married. Just basically get a email paper trail. Most will not give a preliminary date because you are marrying someone who is not yet in the country but the paper trail is evidence you are attempting to book a date.

i was able to book a provisional date at my local register office--explaining my wife to be was a foreign national and not yet in the UK--no problem at all. there was a fee---£40,--which allowed a change of date and time. it was for up to a year ahead. not all offices do this--but it is worth checking.

so that £40 got me an official printed receipt showing the booking for a marriage ceremony.

I also booked the provisional appointment. My first battle was working out what I needed to ask for as the Registry Office refused to do anything with my (now) wife being outside the UK. Once we worked out that we needed a provisional appointment, everything clicked and it was booked for £50 or so. I did though have to pay £50 again to change the date. No free changes by the penny pinchers in Blackburn.

I personally just sent copies of the bio page and stamped pages. I never had them authenticated and had no problems.

Oh right that's ok then .thanks for that ...I'm looking at booking my provisional appointment..but do I
still have to give notice of marriage at my local office first?

You can’t give notice of marriage on your own, your partner has to be there also, but you can make a provisional booking. Not all register offices will do that as she is abroad but explain the situation about the visa application and you will find they are mostly very helpful and will usually then do you a booking.
