Good for BOTH of us ;) when my son was 3 or maybe 4 he went through a phase of saying "Stop" with an angry face, I used to tell him patiently that wasn't nice, in the real world it solves nothing,it's always best to be adults in conversation :)

Every right and freedom you and I enjoy today has been obtained through the protest of those who came before us, the stage of the World Cup is on a different scale to local national protest but at the end of the day we all live on one planet and the right to protest is essential to all of us, it can take a bit of time but protest can eventually succeed, even in influencing our international neighbours.

World Cup permutations: What do England and Wales need to do to qualify for last 16?

A 2-0 defeat by Iran means Wales will need to beat England on Tuesday, and hope results go their way, if they are to progress on their first World Cup appearance since 1958.

England's drab goalless draw with the United States saw them miss the chance to wrap up qualification, but Gareth Southgate's side will go through regardless if they avoid a four-goal defeat by Wales.

True, but any adult trying that behaviour is acting like a kid :)

I try to treat my children in a kind, considerate manner as much as possible but there are times when they over-step the mark and push the boundaries too much and they need to be disciplined.
I always have an open ear if they want to ask questions but if they are naughty, there are consequences. I never hit them but they get grounded sometimes if they are naughty, then their privileges are taken away for a clearly understood period of time.
So, if enforcing discipline makes me a kid, pass me the ice cream and balloons and let's skip down the road.

After seeing the speed that some other teams have been passing the ball, I still think England won't progress very far, especially as the coach won't make substitutions proactively.

Southgate seems to have done well so far over the years, but I think a new manager will be required if we don't make the semi-finals. The FA are notoriously unadventurous so I won't be holding my breath if we get knocked out in the semi's but anything worse and they should make a change.
It's also about luck on the day but watching the teams from Brazil, France and Croatia doesn't make me feel confident.
Football has been a big part of my life since 1966 and it is time we won something again.
Substitutes need to me made in time and no dithering.
Germany and Spain made them early last night and they both improved so much.

Very tall order, even for the golfer :D

Good game - I was up at 3am to see a very controlled first half followed by some pretty good goals early in the second half.

Definitely looked more fluid with Foden and Rashford - I hope Sterling and Mount continue to keep the bench warm.

Another game without Kane getting on the score sheet!
A vilified figure last year now top scorer for England in this competition.
Harry playing well at the back and upfront.

    Where is Vardy these days?

He was not injured in any way when the list was announced...

Did his Mrs spat with Coleen Rooney influence Southgate, him being one of Wayne's mates??
