    • The UK has shot up the annual list of countries where it is best to do business. Britain is now fifth on the Forbes magazine "Best for Business" list – rising from tenth place last December. The list’s editor said the UK moved up because of "improved scores on corruption, tax burden and monetary freedom, as well as a stronger stock market" – all of which were subject to Project Feardoom-mongering.

I bet Andrew is scouring the internet trying to find signs that Brexit is having an adverse effect on the economy :D

I think his time will come but all us Brexiteers know it will not be all "beer and skittles."

    • Record exports drove a significant reduction in Britain's monthly trade deficit in October, setting a "solid base" for growth in the final quarter of the year. Exports of goods rose by £2.1bn to £26.8bn in October, according to the Office for National Statistics.
This is the highest level since records began in 1997, and was boosted by strong goods exports to non-EU countries, which jumped to a record £14.4bn.
    • According to Bloomberg: SoftBank Group Corp. has decided to place the headquarters of its $100 billion technology private equity group in the hedge fund heartland of London, and has begun hiring investment advisers.
    • Lloyds Bank Regional #PMI signals another month of solid output growth across businesses in England and Wales.
    • Car production has reached its highest level since 1999, with over 1.6 million models rolling off the production line so far this year, new figures show. Almost 170,000 vehicles were built in UK factories last month, an increase of 12.8pc on November last year and the best total for 17 years, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Weird. How come I'm seeing a different picture with DJB?

I'm seeing one of my friends instead. Hahahah...

You just have to move on. Brexit will both have positive and negative outcomes.
But you can't change it. The decision has already been move.

You just go with the flow and cope up with whatever changes that will happen.

I want to move to Denmark, Sweden or Germany. But no point since the Brexit is just months away.

Just keep on swimming along with the current.

    Mark my words...........

The UK, within 6/7 years, will be the place to be.
EU migration to skilled level only, non EU the same.
Europe will be on its last breath,
Italy will have made moves to leave the Eurozone,
    LePen will be ruling France,
Merkel's name will be tippex-ed off German history and Schultz will have to fight for his political existence.

All in all, I reckon my kids will be kind of safe and prospering in Wales.

I just hope Scotland or Northern Ireland doesn't leave after Brexit.
    No more referendums.

Else, everything will be a disaster. Hahahaha...

Its not about seeing a different picture, the above is all talk and no substance, as yet. If its going to happen it would happen anyway brexit, or otherwise as these things are planned months and years in advance.

No one here, unless the three wise men have joined the forum, can predict accurately what is going to happen in the future.

I will be the first to state I was wrong in 2 or 3 years time when hopefully it all comes good for the UK.

The "above" is NOT "all talk and no substance" as you will know if you read each of my bullet points carefully. For example "car production has reached its highest level since 1999" is substance.

As for whether all this good news would come regardless of Brexit, I have to remind you that your side was predicting virtual economic collapse, house prices falling through the floor and whatever other gloomy news your apostles could dream-up.

Er no ... but according to your side in this debate, the country should be practically bankrupt by now. I am highlighting instances that prove that our decision to Brexit has NOT had a harmful effect on the economy; in some cases, quite the reverse. Hence my use of the hashtag #DespiteBrexit which is not the same as #BecauseOfBrexit.

But if you want to poo-poo such stories and live in a Scroogian world of eternal misery, that's up to you.

It would appear that DJB shares an affliction with JohnAsh: not reading posts sufficiently well before clicking his mouse on "Reply" and going into one - by posting a reply that addresses points that weren't actually made!

I don't see why house prices would be a bad thing anyway, even if it did happen. Housing is far too expensive in this country. I wish they would drop.
