    ,
Yes I read the post Paul posted along with many others over the passage of the last few months some say this, some say that and some say the other. Regrettably I am in no position to influence research or vaccine production, so the least I can do is heed government and medical advice and try and stay as optimistic as possible, to me life is a risk every time we step into the street, get in the car, board a plane etc etc, some risks are greater than others such is modern life.
I said in another thread and it may to some be a cavalier attitude but I would sooner meet the grim reaper doing some of the things I want to do than not meet him but live to regret not doing the things I still want to do.
I am a similar age to yourself, our family commitments and expectations are probably similar to a degree and thats were we are in life.
I will carry the optimistic torch that its not over for me yet,nor for my family and friends or indeed mankind,to me nothing is greater than human spirit and with good will and a strong worldwide intellectual approach this pandemic can at least be controlled if not beaten

I tend to think along similar lines. It was this line of thought I took with the Isle of Man. Crime there is the lowest in the British Isles. However, I decided that life was far more interesting on the mainland UK despite higher crime levels so decided to move back.

    Covid 19 Virus Bustin Breakfast:

    D28B555E-5EB8-4766-996D-99503447E064.jpeg

This was my breakfast today. It is a breakfast I typically eat, comprising egg, 97% sausages, small portion of beans, onion and mushrooms and bacon. The meat was grilled and the egg fried in butter. No toast no hash browns. Since changing to this form of eating I have beaten off all viruses unlike times prior to that. I did add a dab of brown sauce. Very tasty, very filling, nutritious and contrary to the myth generated over the last 50 years, very healthy.

For me this is the antidote.

PS : we are struggling to get rice now. We used up the last of the sack full of Jasmine rice. Mrs Ash said to get some Basmati rice but there is none of that about. The Asian store locally has no Jasmine rice.

Don't eat bacon, nor sausage, the smell of cooking pork normally makes me feel nausea  The rest looks great, though I had yoghurt today for breakfast :)

    :D:lol:

Yes. How did you guess. I don’t like them done that way but tolerate it as she makes the breakfast. I prefer scrambled egg the English way but using double cream.

She overcooks the bacon and I have to restrain her. :D

I eat a lot of full fat greek yoghourt with double cream and frozen forest fruits. I buy the Greek yoghourt by the 1kg bucket full. Lancashire Farms brand.

It was a dead giveaway that's what Ana calls scrambled egg, it's really an omelette, I actually do like it that way Nanay cooks it the same way, but over December I started doing real scrambled eggs and Pork Toccino for breakfast for the kids and Janna in particular loved the eggs.

Same here. Mrs Ash calls it scrambled egg too. Exactly. So much so that my daughter thinks it is scrambled egg too. I can’t get my daughter to eat normal scrambled egg. Just my wife’s version.

Ana just does it with black pepper and a bit of salt also some Knorr seasoning I suspect just to add some more salt :D

Yes that’s how she often does it. I eat it but it’s not my favourite way of eating eggs.

Mrs Ash also fries egg so that the yoke is hard. And always hard boils eggs, big time.

    For me:

Porridge for breakfast with nuts, raisins and dried fruit on top swimming in a little homemade soy milk.

Pancit Canton (but made with only vegetables) for lunch.

My wife has gone into hyperdrive since lockdown happened.

Yesterday, our breadmaker broke down completely after more than 12 years.
Trying to order another online but all the reasonably priced ones are sold out - not a shock there!

We have actually become really close and "love is all around" these days.
We have never spent so much time together since we met - we have been like ships passing in the night most of the time over many years.
I haven't had a holiday since 2013 but my wife went over to Cebu province by herself a few years ago.

Yes, my wife is doing a lot of cooking too, including Pancit Bihon. Lots of cleaning, clearing out etc. Our dustbins are overflowing just now.

In my case I have been painting the fencing, something I haven’t been able to do until now owing to lack of time. The garden is getting a complete overhaul. :D
