    Was talking about it with my wife. It was over 25 years ago that she lived in Sagbang and she said that in those days the road was very poor so even though it was a few miles it was a tough walk for a 7 yo. Possibly all changed now? I met someone (married to my wife’s friend that came to the U.K. at the same time as she) who told me he was involved in setting up the electricity supply up there as part of some Rotary scheme. Wife’s grandmother lived in a neighbouring town / village to the east of Sagbang. Her and her mother relocated to Cavite when my wife was about 9 or 10 and then commenced a life of relative luxury in Tony Oposa’s house.

    Maybe the walk isn’t as tough as my wife says cos she has always hated walking. :D

    Seems to be a lot of pressure building around the theory of an escaped virus from a lab in Wuhan.

    hmmm. i wonder how they got so few deaths--compared to the uk, percentage of deaths from known positive tests.

    china...84,000 confirmed lead to 4,600 deaths

    UK ..108,692 confirmed...14,576 deaths.

    We stopped community testing mid March, so we don't know the numbers, we only test people who get hospitalised, they didn't stop community testing so they had better confidence in their numbers.

    This story in one form or another has been circulating since January, that link quotes anonymous sources, it cites US diplomatic cables (apparently they were from a couple of years ago) and the whole story is now being pushed by the US secretary of state.

    This idea was discussed on here and commented on over the last two months, could it be true yeah of course it could, will we ever know, not a snowballs chance in hell but it suits the Trump administration to start bringing it up now months later to distract from their handling of their own domestic emergency, so Trump needs a diversion.

    The full on conspiracy version of this story, a weaponised bioengineered virus has been dismissed by all credible sources who have studied this virus, so the could've, might've, must've, wink wink unprovable version surfaces now being promoted on the only network that Trump appears to like namely Fox.
