Yes, if only it was as easy for us natives to bring a partner into our own damned country, as it is for foreigners !

    Sore subject ! :boxer:

Aww hahah you didn't formally said goodbye to them? My friends won't accept that. They'd probably follow me to the UK and give me one good slap, or maybe more.

Yeah it's a shame but nothing can be done about it. Not easy to move to other country and leave your beautiful life in the UK just to get your spouse be with you. Might work like that for some but probably not for many.

I agree. In addition to that, there were some who were refused for 4 times already but they never quit.

I'm lucky that Andy provided me all the details on their 2nd application, so there's no reason for me to commit mistakes. I'm presently waiting for my residence card that is due to arrive in early or mid March before the triggering of the Article 50. Fingers crossed, I will get it :). I got my Certificate of Application more than 2 months from the date of my biometric enrolment. COA is normally released within 15 working days. I didn't know that mine was lost in the post as I was informed by the Home Office that they already sent it ages ago. By the way, I emailed the Home Office twice before I got a response. I'm still thankful and happy even if it arrived late. Better late than never..hehe

Well it might be easier but if you're not sure of what you are doing and not careful with the form then you're still saying hello to the refusal. But I'm glad things worked out well for you. :)

lol...They were far eh so I couldn't say goodbye to them in person. hehe. One is in Canada, one is in Japan, one is in Papua New Guinea and one in Saudi working as nurses. I'm the only one who spent my precious time in Call Center..hehe..I'm still jobless now. Hubby doesn't want me to work yet though I have a job interview on Tuesday.I have no choice but to cancel it.

I see that's why hahahah. Well now you're already in the UK so fair enough. Long Distance Friendship :D Oh really can you reserve the interview for me? :D JK. Haha well seems like hubby is not running out of money yet but that work should help you get occupied and do something everyday.

Yes. I agree. It happened to the person whom I assisted. He thought that his wife and their baby will get the visa in just one application. He has no choice but to make another application because only the wife got the visa at first. I could have saved or stopped them from spending much on return tickets from Visayas to Manila. They chose to lodge their application in Manila rather than Cebu.

Oh well not too good. Can't believe she opted to go to Manila when Cebu is only close to her. :frust:

Lol. Of course we are running out of money. We are both wise on our spending. We refrain from shopping. Prioritize needs over wants..hehe..

But I need a job as I have charities in Pinas. .You know what I mean..hehe.

Maybe he just wants you to relax and settle for now but for sure soon you'll be itching to look for work again. :D

I know what you mean and my charities are waiting too. They can't wait for me to be in the UK and start donating :D

Maybe next year, hopefully he will allow me. It's always nice to have something in your pocket from your own sweat. Like this moment, (Christmas), it's awkward to ask money from hubby and buy him a gift. hehe.

Hahah yeah it's like he bought himself his own gift. I wouldn't do that :D

Newcastle is one of the best places I've been to so far.

Granted I've only been around London and surrounding counties. hahaha...

Friendly people and the place is beautiful!

I understand. And a lot of people are abusing this right as well.

Same scenario with An Irish Citizen trying to bring his wife into the Republic of Ireland. The wife is still in Pinas while the visa application is still pending for nearly a year now.

That might happen to me as well if we will try to go to Ireland. But UK is hubby's home eversince he and some of his family members arrived in 1969.

I agree with you. This place is really nice and the people are really friendly. And of course lovely accent as well...Every Friday is a happy day as most of them are in the pub..hehe

I'm from London but been in Newcastle for a month now. Coming back to London again next week. Newcastle is far, far, far better.

I'm feeling sad that I'm leaving Newcastle. If I had a choice, I would rather stay here. Hahaha...

And yes, lovely accent and everyone is in the pub every friday night.

I'm sad I'll be leaving these guys. And the girls in Newcastle approach you instead of the other way around. Hahaha...
