Lol, bless her. Our joint thing is just basically a story that I guess we'll both sign. Then the covering letter is done by the agency. I think Timmers hit the nail on the head - there's more than one way to skin a cat. As long as the basics are there I guess the rest is just about putting together enough info to give a clear picture of the relationship. Anne, have you done the CFO thing yet?
Not yet since I haven't gone to VFS to get the visa. I got the advice from another good member here named @jaja to wait 4 days. Monday is the 4th day. I'll let you know once I get it.
She originally mentioned that I was handsome 3 times in the letter. I reluctantly edited it down to one! it's essential you girls stress how very handsome your man is---or you could be refused. then--when you're here--you must tell him every day--to reassure him.
I finally got my passport and visa attached at hand. Will be in the UK a day or two after September 24. Next step will be CFO certification and sticker. My fiance ans I decided to go to Cebu nuns because of the convenience in terms of location. They don't have an online appointment system so I'll have to go there at 6AM!
OK. Good news. And good luck with CFO. Most people do get through it okay. But do go prepared with you partners info.
Yeah. The wonderful CFO. They'll probably warn you that British men have a place they go where they can sell their wives or exchange them for another one. I asked Mrs M if she'd managed to get hold of the address but she says they never gave it. That's her story anyway.
Wish me luck! Is it true that you have to go back just to get the sticker on the date of effectivity of the visa??
Hi anne! Just want to ask what documents is it that is on the 9th of your list?( You stated N/A........)
After the date stamp on the visa. You can complete some of the earlier steps, beforehand, but the final bit is after the date stamp on your visa. Thats what my wife did.
I'm still preparing to make a new thread on my CFO experience as promised to @LisaUK . So sorry to keep you waiting. Something came up. Anyway, I've been to CFO last Friday though I know I need to go back on the date of effectivity to get the sticker. I was informed that I can get it in Cebu, Manila and NAIA terminals. I will be posting another thread soon..
Hello Shanaz. The 9th part is for documents or evidences if you got children (e.g. birth certificate). My fiance and I don't have any, hence, the "N/A" or not applicable.
It is worth pointing out that if you go to one of the NAIA terminals for your CFO sticker then you need to give them a couple of days notice by phone, this is what my loved one was told. And I do advise of course that you don't leave getting the CFO sticker till you are leaving for the UK, I couldn't cope with the stress if I was in that position
