After 20 Calendar Days

I have waited for their email, but didn't receive any... So I gave them 4 days allowance. I arrived at their office about 8am, they told me to come back at 2-3 pm but I managed to talk to their manager to release my documents.

So they released the documents before the said time? Seems that lack of communication is always the problem. No info about the time found in their website.

Hi all! Below are the documents we submitted for settlement (marriage) visa application. We grouped it into 10 parts according to the order of documents list provided by VFS 2 years ago. On top of which are:

I. Sponsor's/Fiance's scanned passport

II. Accommodation
- flat invoice and receipt
- tenant insurance
- certificate of tenancy registration
- flat description
- tenancy agreement
- inventory and schedule of condition
- TV license
- letter from landlord stating that I can live there
- council tax
- electric and water bill
- flat pictures
- flat floor plan (my fiance just drew it by himself)
III. Financial (Fiance's document)
- contract of employment
- wage slips
- P60 certificate
- easy cash statement
- world remit statement
- orbit remit statement
**I also inserted my bank statement and certification to match the money he has sent me
IV. Evidence that your has permanent residence in the UK. Not applicable if sponsor has British Nationality.
V. Letter of support from sponsor/fiance (6 pages in our case)
VI. Evidence that sponsor and applicant remained in contact during sponsor's absence in the Philippines

It's a bit awkward when you go with an agency because we've been told by them that much of the stuff people send isn't necessary. I feel that we should trust them as we've paid for their service, but it's still good to have a list that we can cross-reference and ask questions about. Thank you

apart from all those visa apps kept pending the court decision on the earnings rule---4000 odd i read somewhere----does anyone know the percentage of refusals---other than on the earnings rule---with spouse / fiancee visa apps ?

"You can add this or that, but it wont add any weight to your application" was the expression I heard several times. But yes, it is great to have as much input as possible.

Yes. I dont think they have the time. Kuya looked into it and the amount of time allocated to each visa application is quite small, evidently.

After reading through the list Anne provided I could only find one thing missing ...................... the kitchen sink

With the old rules there was a lot of emphasis on proof of residual income and ability to live within ones means, hence the bank statements.

At that time no TB certification was required.

Remember it was for a spouse visa and not a fiance visa
