Cyr et al3 concluded that Tintin suffered from growth hormone deficiency and hypogonatropic hypogonadism from repeated head trauma.

    Explains a lot!

Looks like as if the useful suggestions and support have come to an end, and I would appreciate if the mickey take would stop.
So the OP can gather his thoughts in peace and quiet and choose some kind of strategy to come to terms with the world of hurt that may befall him in case he chooses to continue with this relationship.

    Over and out from me.
I have thrown enough two pence worth at the subject.

Thanks for your support. Actually thanks to everyone who decided to offer constructive and positive advice, it’s appreciated.

…And to those who want to criticise and mock, an easy and cheap unfunny joke is all it is, nothing to be proud or for me to be worried about, after all none of us after perfect.

    Quick update:

B unblocked me on WhatsApp, but here comes the Karma… she must have changed her privacy settings previously to blocking me bc I couldn’t see her profile photo, which means she was either giving me a ‘message’ or wanted to hide something. I raised this with her as a FYI, but it wasn’t a request, and she said she’ll look into it. On WhatsApp you can choose who sees your profile and exclude people which is what I assumed she did.

B registered her WhatsApp without backing up, and lost all her data, messages, everything…! I feel bad for her.

B is now blaming me for “playing with her emotions” . She said she was trying to see a message that I had deleted. she is obviously very hormonal, annoyed and I feel this would be upsetting for anyone.

I’m gonna end this thread here, before Karma kicks me in the ass. Sigh.

My mother, who is no longer alive, once told me "Don't try to understand a woman as she doesn't understand herself.

    5. “Women only nag when they feel unappreciated.”, – Louis de Bernières, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin

    6. “You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely suggests that you think she’s pregnant unless you can see an actual baby emerging from her at that moment.”, – Dave Barry

    7. “There are two theories to arguing with a woman. Neither works.”, – Will Rogers

    8. “The Creator made women to please the eye, and to boggle the mind.”, – Robert Jordan, The Wheel of Time: Boxed Set

    9. “I don’t think anyone can teach you how to be a man but a woman. You only learn by learning what they need.”, – Ryan Gosling

    10. “Men and women play the same game but with different rules.”, – Habeeb Akande

    11. “No matter how happily a woman may be married, it always pleases her to discover that there is a nice man who wishes that she were not.”, – H.L. Mencken

    12. “A woman can say more in a sigh than a man can say in a sermon.”, – Arnold Haultain

    13. “If women didn’t exist, all the money in the world would have no meaning.”, – Aristotle Onassis

    14. “After about twenty years of marriage, I’m finally starting to scratch the surface of that one (understanding women) and I think the answer lies somewhere between conversation and chocolate.”, – Mel Gibson

    15. “Men learn to love the woman they are attracted to. Women learn to become attracted to the man they fall in love with.”, – Woody Allen

The bottom line is that, ultimately, nobody can help anybody else with matters of the heart.
We have to do this by ourselves.

    Not quite finished…

There won’t be any more updates on the relationship bc I have an fairly good idea of what the prevailing sentiment is regarding my situation.

However, were I to move to PH on my own accord, where would be a good place to stay/live. I’m retired with some money, and enjoy sport, the outdoors, night life, music, beaches, sea food, water sports.

    Thanks

Just a small point, in the Philippines you have no parental rights at all, up until the the child is the age of 7 the mother has complete control and all the rights.

After the age of 7 to all intents and purposes you still have no rights, no official office in the Philippines is going to give you the time of day, if you go in all guns blazing you will be thrown out of any government office or court as they take a very dim view of foreginers speaking out or holding opinions on any subject relating to the Philippines, I am speaking from personal experience of having the temerity to politly ask a question of a COMELEC officer who was at that time in conversation with my partner Ana, I got an absolute bollocking from the woman for daring to open my mouth.

I just took my 15 year old daughter to get her Phil ID sorted last Saturday her mother is not here, I was very very polite to the lady who processed the applications and in return she was really nice and helpful to me and my daughter, always remember that you have no rights at all regards anything in the Philippines and never argue with anyone lest you be risking your life or liberty.

We pick up her ID this Saturday this is a first step towards getting her Philippine passport renewed before applying to get her British passport renewed, not essential to get the National ID but it should help with all her other IDs in future.

    Hi Oss,

Thanks for your reply, it’s not a small point, it’s actually very significant. I’m sorry to hear about your account, it must have been frustrating and distressing for you.

So, a British national has no rights at all in PH re anything? Could you please elaborate because I’ve been considering the possibility of moving to PH in the future, and I now realise that I know very little about the PH culture, their way of doing things, and their view / treatment of foreigners.

When you say “never argue with anyone lest you be risking life or liberty”, that sounds pretty tough!

Anyone, as in a position of power such as the police, or anyone anyone such a Joe Public?

Hypothetically, could I get a long stay visa, open a bank account, buy land, buy a car, open a business, get married, raise a family easily?

I see, my initial assumptions were off. So, how do ex-pats live out there?
