Double-sided and staples?

@Timmers when you booked the premium lounge, did you just go to the User Pay services on the VFS website and then after inputting the details, choose it from a kinda checklist? That's what I did and selected the Priority service this way too. I have the printout with Jasmin's GWF number and the two paid services, just not confident that's enough - does she just rock up with that printout and they guide her the different area or something, do you know?

The VFS website is woeful for FAQs and you can't contact the Manila centre it seems...

The missus will just jump the queue, that's all the premium service means, the missus booked it online.

Printout any confirmation you have.

I remember the feeling of sending the visa documents off to the Philippines via DHL, it was like, phew what a relief that bit is done.

I wish you luck with your application although I feel you don't need it, you have obviously put a lot of work into the application and researched it well, I only expect good news from you in a couple of weeks time.

Hehe I feel a bit of relief but mainly worried I didn't book the appointment correctly or whatever!

Print the receipt and confirmation emails you received. When your missus arrives VFS, she queues at the front desk where the staff checks her appointment papers. She'll then enter the door and be directed to the right where the premium lounge is.

Hi guys, update

After Jasmin submitted the documents last Tuesday 14th February, she received a text earlier today:

"The decision on your UK visa application with reference number GWFxxxxxxxx has been made. If you opted for courier delivery at the time of submission, your passport will be delivered to your chosen address. Alternatively, you may collect your passport at the VAC from 14:00 – 16:00 Monday – Friday except on Embassy declared holidays."

Fingers well and truly crossed...

I'm delighted to post the update that Jasmin received her documents by courier this morning with the Visa vignette in her passport

In the hallowed words of a certain Mr J. Tree, "thank **** for that"!

Timeline of events is below for information, as I know it's useful...

- Application submitted online: 31st January.
- Documents submitted at VFS Manila: Tuesday 14th February.
[10 day Priority Service availed]
- "Decision has been made" text received: Tuesday 21st February.
- Documents & Visa received by courier: Wednesday 22nd February.

From documents submission, decision reached in 5 working days / 7 calendar days, and documents/Visa received in 6 working days / 8 calendar days.

I'll take this moment to sincerely thank this forum, Kuya, the community here and the guys and gals who have very kindly helped and advised me (and Jasmin) along the way during this application, who displayed impressive fortitude in the face of my renowned scattergun approach to research and questioning on the journey

I hope what I have found and posted proves of use to others, so that I have paid forward what I've received, and I'll definitely be indulging in a spot of lurking around here. Questions welcomed from those still treading the path.

Now I've just go to make some space for accommodating a certain Filipina... gulp!
