Thanks Keith. I had missed your message. Replied via PM.

The caravan was rocking 2 days ago - very high winds. Spent the day in bed - fully clothed and wearing caliper just in case the worst happened. No loose items to fall around in a bedroom, except for an overweight me!

The insurance company is footing the bill for the caravan. There is usually an option to buy at the end of the tenancy but nobody wants a static caravan without central heating these days and you cannot let out older caravans anyway - caravan sites do not allow it.

The owner of the caravan company is the least professional of people I know - just a glorified salesman. He appears to be married to an Asian lady (possibly Chinese)

My cousin has just rung me. My aunt's prognosis is not good. Her heart, liver and kidneys are failing and she has pneumonia. That looks like the death of two aunts this month and given my own situation, impossible for me to get to either funeral as they are almost 200 miles away.

My sister called just after my last message. We made the 360+ mile round trip to see my aunt, probably for the last time. My other aunt's funeral is on Thursday but my sister cannot take me unfortunately. It is really impossible for me to use public transport now.

My aunt is very frail in hospital. The antibiotics are not working and they are going to withdraw them within 24 hours. She was coughing up green bile when we were there and completely unable to eat.

At least, thanks to my sister, I was able to say a last goodbye, which is something I was unable to do with any other relative. And I am very grateful for that.

    I forgot to say...

When I was visiting my aunt in hospital the minister of the Methodist Church presented my aunt with a certificate for playing the church organ for 75 years. My aunt wants to get into the Guinness Book of Records as the longest playing church organist/pianist. She beats the current record holder by 2-3 years I think. It would be a suitable epitaph.

I hope she lives to see it in print.

Sadly, my aunt passed away early this morning, Which means that my sister, cousins and me are now the older generation!

    Definitely the worst year ever!
