    South East London.

I don't really like where I'm from currently. Hahaha.

I wish I can move somewhere close to Soho so I don't have to travel to enjoy Asian foods.

As you will have seen, London is surrounded by some not so pleasant towns, not my cup of tea :)

We are currently residing on the sunny Costa Blanca.

The sunny Costa Blanca is currently unsunny, wet and 12 degrees. The last time I saw my wife, she was burrowing under a pile of quilts.

I am considering putting her in a straw-lined box in the garage until winter is over.

I understand what you mean. If only I did not have a job here in London, I would move to Midlands or somewhere much nicer.
Maybe Scotland even or Northern Ireland.

But this is the financial centre of the UK for a reason.

I will tell you one thing knight, you would have a much better life outside London I assure you, when I've had the misfortune to stop in places like Finsbury Park, East Ham and places like that I do not recognise my own country, in addition I do not feel safe in these places, some terrible places around London as I'm sure you are now aware.

You wont go far wrong in Scotland and as for NI that's probably the cheapest place to live in the UK, downside being the salaries are low in general.

Its all about trying to getting the balance right on where you live and work, I'm sure you'll excel wherever you go, please do not think London is England, it still is if you are fortunate enough to live in Mayfair, Chelsea, Park Lane and the like :)

I remember when my wife worked for Citibank in Dubai, they said they could arrange a transfer to Canary Wharf, I immediately told my wife no, my exact words were "I wouldn't let my dog live there" knowing full well I could only afford to live in one of the many dumps on the outskirts of London.

I think Wales would be a good place for you too, I know you were mulling the idea over of going there a while back.

Yes, Wales is nice but I was too late. The job was already taken by the time I managed to leave for the U.K.

I've been to Mayfair and Chelsea a couple of times now. Just looking at the people and the place, it's something to aspire for. It gives me more motivation to work hard. Hahaha

    Sloane rangers!

Funny that my co-workers thought I was mad to say that I was deciding between Glasgow/Edinburgh or London. One thing I've noticed is the English kind of don't like the Scots.

'Bloody drunkards I'll tell you. And mad. Don't even go there.'

When I save enough money, I'll move somewhere north like Hertfordshire or Stevenage. Close enough to London, but not actually in London.

But I'll be touring soon during the holidays. It's time to finally put on my tourist cap and explore the country.
