Looking at the map of users seems like the only place close to where my fiancé lives is Mablethorpe. When I visited him, it's quite difficult for me to adjust because it's just a small town and you won't see many foreigners. When I was there it's like all eyes on me when I walk on the street. Lol.

That would be one of the things I have to deal with in the future when I start to live there -- trying to fit in and get along with the Brits lifestyle. :(

Never been to Louth that I know of, not a bad part of the country you'll be living in, you're only a young lad you will have a thick Yorkshire accent before you know it :)

It's not too bad a place really and it's quite safe just concern that it's not too diverse in culture unlike bigger places so it might take me a while to adjust. Not sure about acquiring the accent tho :D

Filipinos on the whole are very good at integrating into a new country, I've met OFWs all over the world and they are always well liked by the local people.

There may not be a lot of foreigners where you are going to live but I'm sure you will be made welcome and it will take no time at all to fit in.

I think the Filipino smile helps a lot:)

I agree we Filipinos are very good in terms of integrating into a new country so I really hope I won't struggle to fit in. Just not sure how people there would take gay couples. I'm not sure if they're very accepting. I also hope it won't affect me getting a job in the future. :(

Being gay will probably mean that you will be popular with the girls, girls like gay chaps, I know my wife had a couple of gay friends when she was living in the UAE :)

If it had been 20 years ago I may have said that you might encounter some hostility for being gay but nowadays gay people attract very little hostility, its all about how you come across to people.

You will be fine, don't let it worry you, maybe you can post in a few months time when you're in the UK and tell us about life in the UK as a gay Filipino :)

Well I didn't really have any problems when I was there. I still act and dress normal. I think I'm just over thinking really but I can't help to worry for the future. :D

Lol I'll surely write something here about that in the future. But for now I have a visa application to worry :D

I think you are over thinking it but it is fully understandable and reasonable to do so.
As others have said there is less hostility to gay people boys and girls, and it is indeed how you conduct yourself.
Crack on with your visa application and good luck with it.

I know a lot of Filipina with older Brits and even gay filipinos with older Brits so that doesn't surprise me really. I'm one of them so I don't judge. We shouldn't give a damn about what people say. :D

Thank you for your kind words. ;)
Thank you for the link too 'twas informative. Haha helped me know understand a bit about Yorkshire accent :D
