It's an extreme telephoto shot a couple of things say that including the heat haze but the people are clothed in jackets which suggests it is not that warm, the white tops on the water suggest breaking waves but the telephoto nature of the shot suggests that mountain is pretty high.

Don't know doesn't look like the UK to me?

It reminded me of the view I used to get from offshore looking towards Snowdonia in winter.

No. On oil rigs. I worked in Liverpool Bay for a couple of years. Some of the fields are quite close in. Sometimes I could see the Liver Birds, depending on the rig locality. Obviously in winter months quite an imposing view could be had of the north coast of Wales with snow clad Snowdonia in the background.

I worked on the Douglas Field, Hamilton and Lennox. Lennox was very close to shore as you can see. Flying out of Blackpool airport.

And the answer is of course Royal Birkdale looking out towards the Lennox platform with accompanying mobile jackup.
