On the subject of minus degree temps, I was in a cold room testing jackets maybe two weeks back, they turned the dial down to -25,with my old down travel jacket I could feel myself start to shiver after a couple of minutes.

I prefer the cold too, if pushed to choose. +40 in Saudi was worse than -20 in Chile. It is easier to put more clothes on than to try to take your skin off

They are cheaper, CG are stopping fur trim on their coats at the end of 2022,as a result coyote pelt prices have dropped, fashion is driving CG now rather than practicality. I got Er indoors a nice lightweight one, Christmas gift.

But the original CG jackets are unbeatable here.
