I'm a bit confused. Some people told me that applying certificate of no impediment takes 48 days from the time of application to releasing. My Fiance will be here for 1 month only for our wedding preparation.

I got married in the Phils last September, (civil ceremony,in the province) and was able to get everything done well within the month I was there. My wife's CENOMAR took about a week to come through, as I recall. I didn't need one of course, as I had my Affirmation docs.

Just go to your local registrar (now) and ask what they require.

Guys another question. I asked my friend about the price qoutation for civil Wedding and this are the list of services.

    1.Application for marriage license
    2.Ceremony
    3.Registration of marriage
    4.Authentication of marriage
    5.Transmittal to NSO
    6.CFO assistance
    Total: 27,000

My question... Is that a reasonable price? Thank you.

Sadly you'll and up paying one way or the other. IMO 27k is nothing anyhow. I paid 10k just to get the judge to turn up at the beach. Par for the course me thinks.

thats too much heres my breakdown
1.Application for marriage license -2500 given to the judge upon scheduling
2.Ceremony- a friend of mine got a judge for 2000 pesos, i paid mine more than this but just look around and youll get a cheap judge and will will be cheaper if you do it in the rtc
3.Registration of marriage- handled by the judge i wasnt charged but a friend paid 1000 to the judge in addition to make the registration faster
4.Authentication of marriage- nso authentication will cost 200 pesos in dfa
5.Transmittal to NSO- the municipality where you got married are the ones who will send the marriage contract copy to nso, free of charge
6.CFO assistance- cfo you will have to pay i think 500 pesos

My total fees including the rip-off British embassy affirmation certificate fee were probably no more than 5,000 pesos in total for province civil ceremony. (Last September).

There are set published fees and there is no need to be paying bribes to corrupt officials. We were married by the town Mayor in a very pleasant and romantic manner. I didn't have to put money in his pocket.

@graham59 my fiancé book appointment for embassy january 7 and after that we will apply for marriage license. Think il do it on my own. 27k for me is too much. I mean i want us to spend money wisely.

start getting your papers done, order your singleness certificate and birth certificate from nso, contact a judge directly if possible so things can be done quicker

27,000 fees are a rip off. You are being conned and you don't need cfo assistance. Suggest you do it yourself and save the money. When we did it it was simple. And cheap.
