    It could just be 5 to go if, for example, there were defections.

    317-325 becomes 318-324 following 1 by election or defection.
    319-323
    320-322
    321-321 4th loss - speaker carries the tied vote.
    One more down and it's goodnight Vienna.

    I doubt it. CCHQ is renowned for its summary defenestration of those who cause the party embarrassment in this way so you may want to book a fortnight off to go canvassing in south Devon. It's an example it would like the Labour Party to follow ;)

    Now you're over-playing your hand, my friend, really. You know as well as I do that "n***r in the woodpile" can also mean the same as "elephant in the room". But let's see if EHRC mounts a prosecution or not.
