Queuing...…Queuing...…Queuing...…Queuing...…Queuing...…Queuing...… I simply hate queuing in long lines when I am trying to buy something. I mean, they are really taking the mickey. I could never live there!
Spot on, never understand how it can take so long at the supermarket check outs. Usually takes us longer to check out than to do the actual shopping. Luckily, I don't usually have anything else much to do, so I smile and wait patiently.
Getting a coffee in a donut shop can turn into a nightmare wait, even with just two customers in front of you, and three staff "lurking" behind the counter.
Queues in the UK disappear very quickly compared to those in Phils. Time is not money when over there on holiday but time is very valuable!
Traffic, long queues, pollution and "hugot jokes" (I'm also Pinoy but I don't really appreciate the self-depreciating jokes. I like the British banter more.)
Traffic and hate ‘filipino time’ (no one wants to be early at any meeting so everyone turns up at least 15 mins late).
Rip-off ATM surcharges for taking cash out using a foreign card are another bad thing about the Philippines.
GenSan's tricycle drivers. They don't follow fixed rate. Ignore you when you're alone until you pay a hefty amount even if your destination is not that far. That's why I always walk (with an umbrella) when at home.
Poor service in restos…...robbing taxi drivers...…..pinoy manana habit...….everyone wanting to know your business...…...etc
1. Having a nice meal at a small restaurant. 2. Thinking about what a nice meal it was. 3. Going back, expecting another nice meal. 4. Finding out that a different cook is working and the food is crap.
This reminds me of 'Family fortunes' 5 things you hate most about the Philippines. Noise. Food. Driving. pollution. queuing. Your turn.
Utang na loob, its one way traffic, certain filipino families, they aren't all sweetness, light and togetherness as westerners perceive them, they are a pain in the neck,a rock on your back at times, always having...…"problems"
I am reading a book at the moment, I bought it to read on a flight. I normally read a book in 2 days maximum, the author is very well known, the book is set in Thailand and the Philippines so it should be a gripping page turner BUT as soon as the HIGH SPEED car chases began across MANILA I began to lose interest
