I can understand your thoughts there. I often have a problem with fantasy in misguided places.

Yup, if your going to write a novel at least research :D but I suppose stuck in traffic bumper-to-bumper for an hour doesn't make an exciting read :D

Well not that I understand much of the Television there but, Adverts.. adverts.. then 20 minutes of more adverts. They manage to string a 15 minute show into 30-45 minutes!

    Television is an anachronism.
I haven't watched it for a long time and don't have a license.

    Why is it an anachronism?
    No license required.
I watch all the time Netflix, F1, MotoGP, Amazon Prime........

    Hi David,
It is a legal requirement to have a TV license to watch broadcast TV.
It is such an out-dated model that became such when catch-up TV came about.

Are you talking about Fils or UK?

    Everywhere.
If people can get a good broadband connection, they can watch TV programmes AND without commercials/advertisements.

I will be over there again but I am not looking forward to everyone adding long-nose tax to things :(

Not in Fils, there is no TV license, or in many other places in the world either.
