It was carnival day in Douglas, Isle of Man yesterday. The weather had turned rainy and it looked like it wasnt going to happen. We caught it as it passed by our balcony window but didn't get our act together in time to catch the Filipino section of the parade with our zoom lens.

The below does. It was overcast when the parade started but lightened up towards the end.

Notice the tribute paid by one of the organisers to the Filipino section of the parade.

If there is one thing that Filipino's love it's a parade, and they always work so hard at them.

Last time I was in Douglas was 1972, it's not changed, that background track on the tv link was great, one of Sean's favourites I think, the little bit of the Filipino contribution was superb, really wherever they are they are such a beautiful wonderful people.

Yes. I wish I had our camera and zoom ready. Shame. I took pictures with my ipad but they were too far away for the ipad to take a good picture of them.

It is actually. Not much goes on outside of Douglas apart from the TT races. And the prom here is very central.
