Once again, this great city falls victim to pseudo religious violence, with the slaying of over hundred innocent souls going about their business or just having some hard earned leisure time.

To think that Jet and I, were there justa couple of months ago, makes me shudder with horror.
We now live, thanks to flawed policies and misguided actions by previous leaders, in a dangerous society, where nothing can be considered safe.
People that don't look same as us, speak a foreign language or dress differently, are looked at with suspicion by the indigenous population.
France has now put measures in place to man all borders and start very stringent checks on who arrives and who leaves, something the UK should take heed to and act upon.
Fences are being built, or still existing ones are being strenghtned, at borders EU wide.
Life will no be the same anymore.
My thoughts are the with families of the countless victims of last night's athrocity, perpetrated in the name of medioeval creed, and carried out by dissatisfied life rejects and failures.

They said they would mingle with the huge exodus of refugees from Syria and Iraq and attack the west.. They weren't joking were they.

My take is that they were here long time, just waiting for the order to act.
My suspicion is that there are several stashes of weapons in containers somewhere, and the arms being released piecemeal.
As the culprits have the habit of blowing themselves up, the police hasn't got much info on where all the gubbins are hidden.
The bloke that tried it on, on the train a couple of months ago, ain't talking...

One reporter made a very good point today, he said the attacks could have been carried out by fighters returning from Syria, once they have been involved in killing and their hands are blooded then it is easier for them to carry out these atrocities in their home country.

Can anyone see a way of ending these kind of attacks??...............not an easy one at all.

I dont think there is anyway to end it but neither do I wish such attacks to further curtail our liberty.

Does anyone see the connection between bombs that have killed many thousands of innocent civilians in there own homes and radicalization that brings the same violence here?

I am so tired of replying......
Everyone has to look back to see why this has escalated.
    Literally, bloody madness.
Invading boots on ground and Israel's impunity have been major reasons why IS has spawned.
    You are right, Keith.

My views on how to stop terrorist in the UK are far too radical to post here on the forum, but I can tell you it would involve a lot of forced deportation and the closing of our open borders with Europe :)

France is a member of NATO.

President Hollande has as I understand it stated that this was an act of war.

Under Article 5 of the Treaty, all members of the Alliance are mandated to give military support to France; no nonsense with votes in Parliament.

    Kill anyone adherent to ISIS.

I think IS has bitten off more than it can chew now.
Many Nato countries are attacking with bombs and Russia has now joined the fray.
France will have to retribute with "extreme prejudice".
I wonder why this IS gorgon's head has not been hit even harder?
Something is blocking the all out attempt.
Maybe now that the Russians and the French are mightily "cheesed-off" there will be a more concerted effort.

IS is more of an ideology than a nation state, but who are their paymasters?

Remember Cambodia under the Khmers Rouges? Similar or worse atrocities, permitted because the USA and China were upset by Vietnam's successes. Similar story here... Russia and Iran support Assad, so "we" don't ...

I cannot fathom it out; Russia is bombing IS and the anti-Assad rebels.
I wonder if Russia has long term goals in Syria.
