Letters from the following are good; the bank, council tax office, doctors surgery, tax office, TV licence, employer and credit card company.

You can also use letters from store cards, we always advise people to apply for free COOP, ASDA, Tesco and M&S cards etc. Any letters you have you can submit.

It is normally the joint letters that are harder to come by especially if you have not been in the UK long, try to submit six letters each individually addressed and three joint, that will do the trick.

Mine- nationwide bank letter, online shopping, kitty prepaid card letter, kalixa prepaid card bank letter.

Joint names- council tax, southern electric, letter from judds folly hotel where we got married

The letters you have mentioned will be sufficient but we like to go over the top here at British Filipino

The FLR(M) is pretty much a formality but you have to submit the required paperwork especially the financial paperwork.

Everything will be fine, just fill in the bits of the application you can and ask here if you get stuck with anything.

We opted for premium service for our first FLR m at Croydon last week. We were number 210 by 12 noon.....out of over 240 for the day.......in the premium lounge....at £500 a ticket. Nice one UKVI......you will soon sort out the national debt.

If you use the premium service you get the decision the same day (extra £500) and for the postal service it can take up to three months.

I suppose it depends on which premium centre you use, in our case we got a slot two days after we were married at the Liverpool office.

If your local premium centre is not available for the date you want then you can book another centre that is available.
