Look also at the results of the peripheral countries as well as the supposed major players all good fun for the future of the EU.

Don't underestimate Farage. He has the right vehicle, momentum and public support.

This set of results indicates, to me at least, that UKIP voters transferred to the Brexit Party whilst most Tory voters stayed at home out of disgust for the antics of the party's leader and MPs. Such a protest may not be repeated at a General Election and particularly if it means preventing a Marxist regime from taking control. A good outcome would be a coalition between BP and the Tories with the EU being given the choice of a "Switzerland" deal or no deal.

I take your point but let's be realistic, what are the chances you would actually do that? Unless you are fluent in the home language of the country where you plan to work, you stand no realistic chance of being employed in the EU27 unless you are a top scientist or equivalent or you take unskilled work. If, on the other hand, you're actually thinking about your retirement then I wouldn't worry - France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Malta will all welcome you.

I made a mistake posting that reply on a public thread and particularly one that has drifted completely away from its subject.

    Sorry but Thread Locked.
