    Thank you so much for the prompt response. I really appreciate it. Surely i will take a look at it.

    100£ annual policy is good rather than take a policy every trip. But that's what i did in my previous trip 38£ for 1 month in UK and 17£ for 7 days EU trip.

    The terms of these policies are often for 31 days - of course multiple trips starting from UK.

    As CatchFriday points out, the kind of travel insurance we are talking about applies to people already in the UK who wish to travel abroad on holiday and the length of that holiday is assumed to be 31 days or less usually, although annual policies allow multiple holidays of up to 31 days and also cover travel for holidays inside the UK.

    No travel insurance will give you prolonged extended cover for simply visiting the UK, either as a spouse or fiancée, and any such insurance would have to be purchased abroad in the first place.

    When my Missus came to Portugal we took out travel insurance with World Nomads who were (2011) very flexible and the policy could be extended month by month
