100£ annual policy is good rather than take a policy every trip. But that's what i did in my previous trip 38£ for 1 month in UK and 17£ for 7 days EU trip.

Thanks for sharing information. This is a good start to learn and compare UK insurances especially for us who will embark a new life as Brit spouses.

The terms of these policies are often for 31 days - of course multiple trips starting from UK.

When my Missus came to Portugal we took out travel insurance with World Nomads who were (2011) very flexible and the policy could be extended month by month
