Yes agreed their limits are generally too low to be useful even from international names like Axa or Prudential operatingover there.

Ex-Pat medical insurance is the way to go but probably also have some travel insurance for smaller potential losses and life cover on the flight.

It’s much faster doing it online, you can get it all done it about 3 days. Just make sure you have a good internet connection for the online appointment and know how to use Google Meet, my GF downloaded the app but I think you can use it in a browser also just be logged into a google account. Just look at the list of requirements and get as much of that together as possible and send it to the person who is emailing you. Don’t worry about notorisation. Things like both your cenomars, your address, finances etc There is a list on the website.

how did you get a cenomar for yourself? it's weird that you have to prove you haven't been married before since the UK doesnt reply supply something like that, you're just not married :))

Hi, i'm new here and was looking for a specific answer to the Affidavit of Support question. I have trawled the internet and it recently brought me here, so i signed up.
As i read it, this may be a requirement to obtain a CFO stamp / certificate for my wife in Manila. Other comments elsewhere suggest it is only for the USA or is not relevant if you are married and already have the visa issued.
We were married in Capas in September 2023 and my wife (Filipino citizen) has been granted her Spouse Entry Visa. Unfortunately, we have just discovered she will require a CFO stamp / certificate to exit the country to join me here in the UK. Could anyone advise me on whether it is likely she will be asked for my Affidavit of Support ? Obviously i provided all the relevant info the the UKVI when we applied for the visa so maybe the fact the visa has been granted satifies the CFO officer on many questions in Manila ? As for the other requirements that maybe asked for, i have emailed her all the documentation. It would make sense to me to presume that because we are married and the visa is issued, only the passports, marriage certifcate and visa would be required to complete the seminar and receive her CFO stamp / certificate, but presumption is not a good idea lol ? If i have to go to London to do this, so be it but time is now running out on the visa. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
