Hi and welcome. Don't let unemployment or anything else get you down, you have to keep a smile on your face, despite any adversities. What kind of job are you looking for...?? And where do you live...?? Don't despair, there is always a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. I know, I have been there....
Hi any job that will allow me to apply for a spouse visa I am looking for graphic design work but really anything, even if I have to 'wipe butt' in a care home I live Addlestone - West London near Weybridge. I met Cindy back in Feb 2010 online - we spent 3 wonderful weeks together in Cebu November 2010, since then I have been looking for work and helping with what I could send to support our relationship - show her I am committed. She is so good and patient, not a money or passport grabber - I am very lucky. And I would relocate if required to find a job. http://www.shinkindesign.com/ http://www.shinkindesign.com/colinandcindy/
to the forum Colin That's a good career Colin, I actually know a young British lad working as a graphic designer for a web agency in Makati who got married the other year and has a lovely wee Filipino daughter now I can imagine the stress and I hope something comes along for you soon.
thats great to hear. When I was in Cebu I had the most wonderful time, and thank you so much for your encouragement - Cindy gives me the determination and inspiration but to get some help and support from like-minded friends is great too.
Hi, Colin. I am also unemployed (for two months) and engaged to a beautiful Filipina from Cebu! It is quite easy getting work at home these days, if you don't mind incoming sales calls! I am just signing up now!
It didn't disappear........ Because you were an unknown entity posting links, you were placed in a moderating queue. Couldn't help noticing that you Know my cousin in law Keith.........
aha Keith and I met on another forum but more importantly he was a great friend when I was in Balamban and we had some good times together
Colin. What you want to achieve in life you can, if you want it enough. It will be expensive to go through the marriage and the spousal visa process. I wish you good luck in getting a job to facilitate everything I am sure Keith will have filled you in on what you need to pay for.
Yes I realise and know the costs and Im committed to do it and the most important is Cindy is being understanding and patient. And if there is a cheaper way please let me know
Welcome to the forum Colin I like the way you're kind of blogging out your relationship, no doubt those memories will be great to revisit in years to come. I really wish you well with work. I know it is never easy in design work, and the number of designers I have met in other jobs that require nothing of their degree isn't worth me counting.. Also, a relationship with a lady from another part of the world is just so stressful in itself. Unemployment no doubt adds to it, but stick with it and I am sure a day will come when you will wonder what the fuss was about! I am in Manila right now, prior to this week I had not seen my mahal for two years! No that was stressful.. Still, that is partly my fault and part bad planning. But on this site we can try and help you with stuff like that (learn from our mistakes as it were). But Colin, really hope to hear good things about you and Cindy over the future months and years. Oh, and she looks very sweet, well done sir
Hello Colin, welcome to the forum. I hope you can find some employment soon. I know times are tough. I've been in that 'dark place' myself. Try to stay positive.
I guess the cheapest way would be to excercise your treaty rights in an EU member country outside UK and bring your non-EU fiancee/spouse to join you on a Family Permit. No exorbitant visa fees involved, no questions about income savings or accommodation. Worth a little research and consideration.
