"The home the family are now set to be moved into is to cost the taxpayer £227-a-week - more than double their previous rent"

I would certainly make sure hubby works 40 hours a week perhaps for the local council but what can you do more without punishing the kids? There are always going to be folk that take advantage whether that be bankers Starbucks or disfunctional families I dont envy them there lives though and its got nothing to do with political parties

The Mail isnt good for you blood pressure Dom ;)

I saw a news article on this young lady yesterday and was impressed by her, lets hope she rises very very very very quickly and replaces JC sooner rather than later :D

Since JC became the leader of the Labour party I have not paid much attention to the news stories surrounding him as I feel embarrassed for him and I also feel embarrassed myself for being a now ex Labour supporter

I now have no one to vote for but John Ash's mate or the public school boy :(

Nah, nah, nah, vote for us the 'Scottish National Party', apparently there are loads of English that would have voted SNP if they only had the chance, you never know Scotland could get a lot bigger the border could move south a fair bit if things get bad enough ;) :D

Whilst John was out of order here, I am not sure he ever made his personal politics clear, it was my impression that he played devils advocate forever in all his diatribes.

Hear the "Nah, Nah, Nah" with the voice of Mrs Doyle, "Go on, go on, go on, go on...... go on" in a Celtic voice ;)

    edit: I'm missing three "go on's" :D

He didn't make his politics clear you're right, he did leave us in no doubt though that he didn't like Nigel, or did he?

He must have been a little inquisitive to have gone to the trouble of attending one of Farage's rallies in the IOM

Nigel has always seemed like a decent chap to me, he has the right ideas and is a good orator.

His party deserved better than what they got in the last UK Gen elections.

I must admit I miss our political debates with John, he just got too carried away sometimes, he felt too passionate about some of the topics we covered.

What people have to remember is, you're never going to change someone's political view on a forum, you can just put your point of view forward and nothing else. Its probably true to say that the majority of us on the forum have the same politics as we did 30/40 years ago.

Not gonna argue mate, not my cup of tea is all I will say, we all have common ground on this site just as we have differences, I respect the differences in peoples views.

I agree Dave, he is certainly sincere and he is not frightened about talking about immigration, a subject which many politicians are uncomfortable with. I think he gives balance to the UK political scene.

And yes, he definitely deserved to win a couple of seats at the last election.
