There is time for a surprise or two. A "Gordon Brown" moment, for example. But as the days pass by it is looking like a Labour SNP coalition. It has a look of inevitability about it.

If UKIP get 3 they will be doing well. They are hamstrung by the first past the post system. So their 13% will not translate into as many seats. But SNP, yes, they will be a major party in British politics.

You say a Gordon Brown moment, I forgot for a moment that he was Labour's leader at the last General Election, in terms of a leader young Ed stands head and shoulders above Brown, and to be honest he does come across as actually being sincere which I cannot say about Cameron or Clegg.

Just a pity that Milibands apparent sincerity isn't matched by his charisma and policies.

I thought this was about the ITV debate?

Instead of continually parroting on in this thread about UKIP, start another thread about the upcoming general election.

We'd need at least 10 threads a week covering his typo's.
I just laugh at all of them these days. What happened to our education system

You are quite pathetic if your focus is on strict punctuation and spelling.

Meantime, back to debating the debate. One party that has risen overnight and will more than likely have an impact on British politics after May 8th is the SNP. Most people agree that Sturgeon did particularly well the other night.

I agree, but someone had to, I wouldn't say particularly well, she just appeared a little better and I think it helps that she is a little stern.

I see she is in the news tonight because one paper is saying she stated to a French Diplomat that she would prefer the Tories to Labour in a coalition. Now we all know that statement was not true, she never said it, but it seems to be getting a lot of airtime and something will stick in peoples minds. Someone who is unknown for the time being has thrown a spanner in the works for the SNP, very unfairly in my opinion. But that's politics.

I dont think the Scottish electorate will give a stuff. Do you?

We all know SNP hate the Tories in particular. Like you and me, they will know she didnt say that.
