I have some etiquette questions:

I will be staying with K's parents for Christmas.

We have met before, but I have reason to be particularly grateful to them for something.

I want to (1) show them respect, as a potential future son in law and (2) behave appropriately as a guest in their house.

So some specific questions:

(a) Is pag mamano appropriate on first meeting (probably at the airport)? (They are both older than I)

(b) do I greet her father or her mother first (I have met both before)

(c) Pasalubong for the household or individual gifts for each person?

Pagmamano is ALWAYS the best way to impress the parents! Start with the father first.

With regards to pasalubong, ask K about what would be the beat thing to bring for her parents. Because some traditional, old women in the province cant be bothered with perfumes. Wine is also okay for the father. A T-shirt would be appreciated, too for the bros and sisters (if K has any), I think chocolates will do

Thanks, Majah! This is a traditional farming family so yes there are lots of brothers and sisters, all older than K - two brothers (one in Manila) and four sisters (one on Negros, one in Manila) so two sisters and a brother and lots of nephews and nieces, from 19 downwards...
