Geoff might just have mentioned Skype but was actually using Windows Messenger or Yahoo which were around before Skype, I often use Skyping as a general term for video messaging, bit like calling all vacuum cleaners Hoovers :)

No Geoff is not. I am still hoping that someone will tell me what to say as why my lady friend wants a tourist visa but as you say it has suddenly gone dead and I guessed everyone had got bored with my topic.

My friend wants to come for 3 months on a tourist visa and she has to give the embassy a reason for her visit. Does she say she wants to come and get engaed or meet me for the first time or what? I will have to show that she is staying with me and that I am paying the air fare.

My offer to @Geoff is that just in case you would need some help for a background check, I'd volunteer for you. You know, sometimes I'm bored and couldn't sleep. I need to find things to do aside from saying nonsense to the forum. lol
and I'm good at stalking. :D

    Hi Geoff
I am new on here and reading your post I am trying to understand your current situation. If I read correctly, you are currently in Germany and want to return to UK with your GF to get married. You tried to fly to Philippines to meet your GF but wasn't able to because of your health issues. If that is correct, how will you manage to fly back to UK? Admittedly its a much shorter flight but are you sure that you can manage even that?
    Hope you find a solution.

Geoff if flying is remotely possible, you can do what my wife and I did. We got married in Seychelles earlier this year. The process is extremely easy using one of the several wedding organisers there with minimum of paperwork and once the marriage has been notarised in the nearest Philippines Embassy, which in this case is Nairobi, all done by courier and handled by the wedding organisers, is recognised by UK and Philippines. Wallah you are married.

    Germany, UK, Philippines, Seychelles, Nairobi...

Geoff would go from "fear of flying" to "frequent flyer elite" in one trip. :D
